couple of ?s about Historics

so we got our tickets and corral pass and now we are curious about a couple of things.

Are the clubs parking together, or is it going to be a free for all? Park by color? JCWs together, etc.

Is Mini going to have a hospitality tent? We are wondering since we are bringing our 3 month old and would love to have a shady place to hide out occasionally.

Can we join Norcal Minis at the track on Saturday? I have been meaning to join for years, but never got around to it.

What does everyone think of us stopping by the pub on Saturday with the baby for a few minutes? It sounds like a lot of fun, but we don't want to cramp anyone's style.

I think that is it. Can't wait for Saturday

#1 I believe its first come first served for parking. If people want to park together they should come through the gate togrther. #2 Fold up awnings are not allowed, but there is a shaded area around the BBQ pit where Mini is supposed to set up a hospitality area. #4 Yes you can sign up for membership at the track. #5 Yes the little motorists are always welcome at any event.

I was wondering about the parking too, I understand what you said Larry, but where is the parking does it matter? (I mean there are lots of spots to parkand Im confused because we got this corral pass but what exactly does that mean??) I guess I should just follow everyone else! LOL Also, are there any special requirements for the parade laps? Like only the driver or can passengers ride too? Im bringing my 7 and 9 yr old. Sorry for all the ??

Thanks!!

Larry, Do you think it's a good idea to meet by the gate or somewhere safe around 7:00 - 7:30 so we can all park at the same area or 7-7:30 is late ? But from my experience during the American LeMans at the Infineon Raceway, there is a designated parking for all the Car clubs, but I'm not sure about the corral at Laguna Seca. oh btw pinkmini, try to bring helmet for the lap parade, just to make sure. They might require us to wear helmet.

That's a pretty big BTW. It's a parade lap. I can't imagine going for the massive show in the corral then say everyone bring a helmet. Because I don't have one. If it's a requirement that means I need two because it's so much cooler with the wife in the car.

Is there anyway to confirm or deny the helmet issue?

In the past helmets have not been required. I saw nothing but uncovered heads when the Shelby Cobra owners took their parade laps a few years back.

It's called a parade lap for a reason. Plan on a hitting a top speed of 20 mph.

Did parade laps last Dec, no helmet and had a passenger.
And I'm sure this parade lap will be much slower.

MC2 will be handling the Parking Corral. We are all Coopers parking in the Cooper Corral. And maybe one Morgan. The corral area is long. On one side of us is Fiat, Z's, Lotus, Shelby, Pantera and Alfa Rameo. Not quite sure what is on the other side but hoping it's the Mini village.

Children welcome at the Penny Farthing Pud. No worries.

And of course Mini USA has a plan for Saturday. Maybe it's hospitality!

Off to work I go then hit the road.
