Hello Y'all !!!

Anybody going to MINI RALLY on July 2 ? Here's some info.
Meeting Location: MINI of SF
Meeting Time : 8am
Departure : 9am
Ride through MARIN to DRAKES BEACH. This is for the Benefit of CHP Widows and Orphans Fund. Myself and a couple of friends are going. If you live around Dublin, Pleasanton area, we plan to meet around 7am at McDonalds right by Santa Rita Exit, then head to SF or we can just meet up in SF.

Thanks for the link. I have been looking and checking for this event for a few months. I could not find anything anywhere.

The cause is great, I just wish there had been more information given out adhead. I will have to scramble to see if we can make this. We have "non-MINI" house guests this weekend. I'll have to find a good excuse to boot them out early Sunday AM.

By the way, received all the Monterey Historics tix and corral passes. Thanks for all your hard work. I know you had to put in a lot of hours (days). Please give me the honor of buying you & Greg a cold one at Penny Farthing's Pub on Saturday night.

 

I went on this rally on July 6. There were over 70 Minis. Video at the link below. It was fun and for a good cause. I was surprised to see that it was 98% Minis that I had not seen before. People were friendly and checking out the other Minis. I noticed that none of them had Mods. Only two had after market wheels. People were curious about my Mini, which surprised me since it is pretty stock compared to the Minis on the runs I usually go on. I was asked where I got the "Actual Size" stickers by about a dozen people and just as many asked where I got my roof graphic and others asked about the strut braces. When I opened the hood and showed the behind the headlight eyes decals that was a real big hit. Apparently no one had seen any of these things before. So anyway I hope I have properly influenced people who bought a cute economical car in to becoming mad about Mini.

I told some of them about the club runs. Not sure how many are in to doing runs. I think for most this was their only run. A few had done it last year judging from the door stickers with 3's on them. Oh, I did notice about a dozen vanity plates. Does that count as a mod?
