I live in NYC. I see hundreds of MINIs everyday. The main reason why there isn't a consistent club in NYC is because (in my opinion) no one has time. People work so much and even sometimes work 2 jobs. I'm down to meet up though. Did I mention I work for MINI of Manhattan? I'm the MINI Product Genius here. :D If you're ever by the dealership...stop in and say hi. Ask for LORDVDR! :D

 

Sunday. mornings I go to cars & coffee in Yorktown ny. Weather permitting. I'm planning on going this Sunday. I leave my house at 7:30 am. The meet goes from 8-10am. If we get enough cars I will take you on a fun run.
Do you know CLINTON from Westchester mini?

 

Lord if you have a bunch of Mini buddies invite them along. This Sunday we should 150 - 250 cars of all makes and models. Let me know.

I just started at MINI of Manhattan a few weeks ago. I don't know Clinton. At least not yet. This Sunday is an event at MINI of Manhattan / BMW of Manhattan. I'll be there super early in the morning.

 

The ironic thing is that for as much time and effort I have put into my creation, I'm normally a loner. (Not to be confused with lonely.) since working at MINI I've since started to make friends here and there.

 

What kind of event ? You should have a meet there!! Clinton is the sales manager at Westchester mini.

 

The event is called: Gasoline & Caffeine

They are showing off New MINI Clubman & a new type of BMW i8 I think. I'll reach out to Clinton one of these days.

 

So if any Mini's want to meet this Sunday morning let me know. We can cruise up to cars & coffee. And if we have enough cars I know of some fun roads. The best place to meet is at
Royal Palace 77 Knollwood Rd Greenburgh NY. There's a Duncan next door. I usually get my breakfast at cars and coffee.

If I have my car back in time. You guys can't even begin to believe what I'm going through te last few days...

I decided a few weeks back that I wanted gauges installed into my R58. Got the gauges from CravenSpeed. (Boost Gauge & Oil Pressure) Had my team install them. They installed them and then all hell broke loose.

Started up my car and then heard a loud POP sound. NOT GOOD. Get out...open hood. Oil pissing out of the new Oil Pressure gauge. Had to leave the car here at MINI (where I work). Mind you it was Yom Kippur (the holiest day in the Jewish Calendar) I thought I was **** out of luck, but luckily I got a BMW loaner from CPO in the next building.

The next day, the head mechanic here at MINI of Manhattan took a look at it and didn't see any oil coming out. It was bizarre to say the least. The shop picked up the car to work on it. We were trying to figure out if the issue was an installation problem or if it was a product defect. Turns out the product was the wrong size.

So today, I told them to put it all back to the way it was before.
