Just to chime in on the dealers-I'm a new used '09 clubby jcw owner. Have had a unusually good experience with Dutchess Mini with their service dept.

 

I'm also in Westchester. Had a pretty good experience at MINI of Westchester. I purchased my MINI at Prestige in Ramsey, NJ, and I kind of wish I could be closer to justify going to them - they're excellent in service and they're very involved in the MINI community and charities - MINI of Westchester is not involved at all.
Doesn't surprise me that Dutchess MINI is great, they're the same chain ownership as Prestige, with some employees that transferred to the new dealership too.

I'm in.. Perhaps we can do some sort of craft beer crawl... I live in Westchester and I seem to be finding new craft beer spots every week ... I'd say captain Lawrence Brewing Co would be a great place to start.... Would love to roll in there and takeover the whole parking lot with minis...

OK So Let's set a date for the Mini Craft Beer Crawl. We can start at Captain Lawrence Brewing Co In Elmsford, then Head up to PrewPort https://brewportct.com/ in Bridge Port CT Via the Merrit Pkwy. From there we can head over to Two Road brewing which is about 5 min North of BrewPort. Heck I'll propose this Saturday 09/17/16.

 

I wound think going to Bear Mt. Then I have some great roads off the taconic. If you know of a brewing company close to Carmel, ny. Or in the area. Just a thought.

 

Actually there is Diccios in Carmel. They have a large craft brew selection there & bar. Alto there is Peekskill Brewing company not to far from Bear Mt. The scene there is not nearly as cool as Captain Lawrence though.

 

Ya see what we can do when we put our heads together!!

Not this weekend. Very busy. And on the 24th I'm planning on upgrading my clutch. If everything goes right. Please understand I'm actually a professional magician and I never know when gigs come in. And work comes first. But we should hopefully ok. Most gigs are in the evening. If we do this in advance I know the sales mgr at Westchester Mini. He might donate breakfast or like to be I involved. Let me know if you want to talk to him. I don't know what he will say.

 

Also do you have a bunch of people with mini's ? Also just so you know I go to cars & coffee in Yorktown. The BJ & DD Parking lot. Sunday mornings 8-10am. If weather is good 150 -200 cars show up. I'm usually there.

 

I'd be down to meet up at cars and coffee with the classic. I'm there every now and then

 

Sounds cool.. but I'd rather see a pure mini event (show of force). I see Minis all over Westchester every day but we are all so disconnected. The opposite of what is reflected on this board. So yeah I'm for a pure Mini event (particularly if it can involve craft beer). Something is taking shape here though...

 

If weather is good I'll be there Sunday. My mini is my fun car. Not my daily driver. And has quite a few mods. It never sees rain. I look forward to meeting you.

 

Would love to see some pictures of the variety of MINIs that show up. Any Classics show up, too?

I'm usually the only mini. Sometimes we get a old one. This Sunday there's a huge car show at Orchard Beach in the Bronx. This show is huge if weather is good. 700 cars.

You've also got Newburgh Brewery and Pine Island Brewery on the west side of the river.

 

I'm not certain exactly when I'm doing the clutch. I'm waiting on JW Turbo to get it together. But I'm still ready to do some meets.
