I was there Nomo! It was a super crappy day, but I actually had a good time. We had seats that were far enough back that we didn't get wet(who ever thought being far away was a good thing?). I left my seat on several occasions though to check out the second stage which was really nice considering how small the crowd was and how intimate it felt compaired to the stadium. I missed Blur  , though my boyfriend said the sound guys totally screwed up their set! Radiohead totally blew me away though! That was honestly one of THE BEST perfomances I have ever seen! I totally want to see them again now.
Did you end up driving your MINI? I didn't see any others, but I was parked in probably the farthest possible spot from the stadium. On the way home I passed a guy in an EB MCS heading towards the George Wash. bridge and we totally honked a bunch at eachother. It was fun!

P.S. Wearing Converse at a rain soaked concert = mushy feet and totally wrinkeld toes when you get home

i did drive my mini, and i saw another mini same color with a white roof so i parked next to it. never saw whose it was though.....

Reminds me of my experience at the Perfect Sunshine concert in Prospect Park, Brooklyn last summer. The Flaming Lips were on last, and as soon as they finished their set and cut the lights, the sky opened up into an instant total downpour. Everyone was completely soaked within a minute, so there was no even trying to avoid it. It was hard to find other people, it was raining so hard. It was great...

Sorry to heard that Field Day Fest ended up being underwhelming. At least Blur rocked (predictably, of course...).

I might be alone here, but I wouldn't describe the concert as underwhelming at all! I had an absolute blast. It was probably the most fun I've ever had at an all day concert event!

yeah, they're great live. i've seen them a few times before. i saw them on my birthday one year, i think 98. thom yorke is one crazy man.

i had a great time at field day apart from the rain. after a while i got numb to the rain and couldnt even tell it was still raining. everything from underworld on was awesome. i never even went to the other stage.

the only real annoying thing was having to show both the ticket stub and the wrist band everywhere you went! ugh!

Lmini you have to see them then! They really surprised me. It's funny because their music is so well put together and so right on, I've never really thought of them as being real people, playing real instruments. In my head it was always just a jumble of keyboards, synthesizers, samples and effects pedels. So seeing them live, seeing actual instruments, just blew me away. I can't belive what amazingly talented musicians they are.

I just love them...and I am so glad to hear that they are so good live! They've been my fave band for years and I still haven't seen them. I will have to research potential concert dates.
