We had the first long island meet this morning. There was a total of 20 mini's I think (Koolmini found us soemhow). It was fun to talk to everyone and check out all the cars. There are plans for another gathering soon.

Great pics Doug..it was great talking to you and meeting all the new folks. That Cooper S with NOS was AMAZING. What a set up! Too short a drive though. Sorry I missed Koolmini...musta been quite an entrance! Funny how we were the only people at the beach...LOL. Also had a great time motoring to the meet with the three "MINIteers" Myself, GMINI and Cooperspeed...and our side kick in the Velvet Red. See you all at the next one.
It was great fun guys, I wish we could have gone for a drive though. I am out here in Montauk right now with GMINI. You guys missed out, the sun is out and the beaches are beautiful. You guys should have come. Can't wait for the turn out at the Litchfield meet. Talk to all of you later. Thanks fopr organizing this whole thing, it was fun...
i second what ants said....

Doug Thanks for your efforts it was cool to see you and your brother, Dennis,Harley, KoolMINI, and all the rest of you and your cars. Next time we should definately plan a MINI boot party "Tailgate party" for those of you who haven't got it yet. Thanks for the photos!!! Thanks to you folks who came from afar!! This is the second meet I went to, if we keep this up we can improve and expand this into some awesome events. Best Regards Dave

Sorry I couldn't make it, I must be burnt because for some reason, I thought the autocross I was going to this weekend was on Saturday, but it was on Sunday instead. Hopefully, I'll make the next one. MINI meets are always a good time. Nice pics, tho!
Great pics Doug.
As always.... it was great to see everyone....
We had 20 or so MINI's.... which is a great showing.
All the cars looked great and all are special in their own way.
I think the "toys for tots" MINI meet is a great idea and I hope we can get even more of us to show.
Great day..Thanks
Peace,
D

Thanks for putting together the meet.
I met some really nice people who went out of their way to show me how to do some simple mods and some detailing tips. Especially two of New York's Bravest!
Followed a Porche, Ferrari and a Lambo back west to the Wantagh Parkway, and took it it to 115 mph a respectful distance back from them!
Best regards,

Great pics!
Love the MINI labeled Frankie 4x4. Those black wheels with polished lip are sharp.
Also love the Miura - one of my favorites from when I was a kid paging through all the car books my dad had.
Thanks for sharing - makes me want to drive all over the country and hang out with MINI owners!

Wow, what started as a Mini gathering turned into a full-fledged car show. I had a fun time, though I whole-heartedly agree about working a good long drive into the next meet. The trek out to Montauk was a bit far, but not as long I as I thought at first. And defininately worth it. What incredible weather it turned into!
Great meeting everyone, thanx to all!

Great meet! Thanks Doug, Minime S and Supercharged! Loved seeing everyone under the clouds on the most vacant parking lot on earth.
The trek to Montauk was straight but unencumbered. And the skies cleared as we neared. Unbelievable the gorgeous afternoon weather we had. Saw like 5 Bentleys and lots of other classics and too many feraris. Oh and a Vanquish convertible. Also caught the Annual Blessing of the Boats. Yeah. And I went swimming in ice cold water.
Could have used a couple more MINIs, though. Damb you Antsmini!
