Navigation & Audio Apple CarPlay for 2011-2016 Countryman (R60) with factory nav screen.
OK, does the camera display when it is powered on with 12V and connected to the 'Front' video input? That's probably the easiest way to ensure that the camera is working properly since there is no trigger wire on the front video. If the display is still black, and the camera for sure has 12V its possible you have a bad camera.

I have 3 cameras to test with.

I did manage to get it working.
In the end it was a bad cable that came with the camera :(
My luck...
I do have one issue, nothing major though.
In carplay using the steering wheel controls, when i press the right arrow it goes left and the left arrow goes right.
I figure this is a setting change i need to find, just haven't found it yet.
I also asked andream support if there is any firmware update available.

If anyone stumbles on this thread and is thinking of doing this, do yourself a favor and get the bimmer-tech one. Stay away from the ones shipping from China like the Andream and JoyeAuto.
I basically spent the same amount on 2 badly made units that one unit from bimmer-tech would have cost me.
And do not expect any understanding or support from the companies that send these from China.
They have canned responses and you'll be lucky to get a single response a day.
The JoyeAuto was horribly slow and half the functions did not work.
The Andream had wires crossed internally (confirmed by them) so steering wheel button functions are all backwards.
Both of them expect the customer to pay for return shipping to China even if they acknowledge the module is dysfunctional. And they think its ok to just use the joystick since the steering wheel functions do not work right, for a 10% refund.
I don't know about anyone else but when i order something like this, brand new - i expect a fully working product. And 10% off for a broken one to me feels like a scam.
They also offered i order a new one for 10% off and ship them back the old one for a refund. With the return shipping, the new one would cost me even more than the 1st i ordered. Unreal they would even think this is reasonable..
Horrible experience with them both for me. I regret not just spending more up front and getting a good unit.
Now i'm basically stuck with broken steering wheel controls unless i was to dish out even more money, which is not happening.

I stumbled onto this thread AFTER purchasing an Andream unit, specifically their "Prime" version. I'm still in the middle of installation, but posted on the 2nd Gen MINI thread asking if anyone had feedback running the "Use Car's BT Channel" mode so you don't need to wire the AUX or MIC to the Andream: Nav & Audio forum for 2nd Gen MINI
Feedback, positive or negative from anyone here? I'm planing to strip the Andream harness to the minimum and want to do away with wiring I won't use.
I suspect I'm running newer firmware than @Alexr54 and haven't had any issues with the steering wheel buttons.
System Version: LC_EW_XU_B_V5.2.1R2
MCU Version: LC_10211_24.1.16.115
HW Version: LC_B_C_G
