Wow...tough choice...I'm leaning towards the Chili Peppers (since my MINI is Chili Red!) Their remake of love rollercoaster would be a great one to play! Although....I'm loyal to my favorite band Moxy Fruvous...they have a great song called "Get in the car" that is too appropriate. By the way, I'll give you a nickel if you've ever heard of them (not many people have!)

Hey, where's my nickel.... (I've actually seen them twice, when they first were around)...

For the first week I probably won't be listening to anything but the car (it really does sound sweet).

After that "I Feel Love" by Donna Summer

Where are they? I haven't heard from them in years. I used to love their witty smart toons. Music to laugh by Great stuff!

Heh heh... ahhh... the 'disco' song that's considered to be the first mainstream hit to have an 'industral' sound...

Greetings!

As far as my music choice goes..... I have 5 cd's that i've burned (as well as about 3 cd's worth of music still on my hard drive) that i've compiled for the sole purpose of keeping in my mini! I call the set Dave's Mini Mix! They're all songs that I thought worked well as road trip/motoring tunes! Right now i've got over 115 songs ranging from Aerosmith, James Brown, U2.... all the way to Korn, Crud and Chuck Berry! I've covered just about every Genre of music with my cd's! LOL I often fall asleep with them in my stereo's 5 disc cd changer dreaming of the day i will be driving the highways w/ the songs playing in my brand new mini cooper! In the words of Mike Myers from Waynes World....... "It will be mine.... Oh yes! It will be mine!"

When my Mini finally gets here I might be too busy crying to think of putting a CD in the dash. But, if I'm able to compose myself, my selections might be any of the following:
Led Zepplin
Hank Williams III
Weezer

After the first week or two of getting to be one with my baby

"I Feel Love" Donna Summer ('cause that's what I'll be feelin')
"The FUN Song" Spongebob Squarepants & Plankton ('cause that's what I'll be doin')
Anything sung by Jill Scott (to get my head noddin')
"Fat of the Land" & "Music for the Jilted Generation" albums by Prodigy (to get the adrenaline flowin')

====================
Just because you can do a thing, doesn't mean you should.

I will put in a CD I burned with all the current top of the pops hits from England including The Hives, The Vines, and One Giant Leap. Those are "Madnotes" yo.

Can't decide between "Green Onions" by Booker T & the MGs, and the theme from Repo Man, by Iggy Pop.

Little Nellie has a bit of a thing for Bond themes, but she's also got her own theme song. We managed to pop down to the Deadbeat Radicals gig in Camden last month to reunite her with the band and went home through Camden playing Little Yellow Mini all the way with the windows down

I just put that soundtrack in my cd folder!. I just found out that my MINI came over on the Aida so I may be listening to Opera for my first song!

Zwilnik,

Now that you mention it, the Bond theme would be nice

Yep your right Dave! I just bought the CD so I'm a little lacking on the Song names. But regardless it sounded great on the MINI!

Well, the check clears in a couple days. Time to start copying some of my vinyl to CD.. I'm thinking a the White Album, some CCR, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, and a few random Niel Young from various albums... Oh.. and of course Roger Waters - Amused to Death!
