>>Hey, doesn't Beastie Boys and Chibo Matto count for anything???
>>

I've got no problem with them. The Beastie Boys are on another level. Nobody sounds like them. I always thought of the Beastie Boys as "hip-hop fusion" I've only heard a little bit if Cibo Mato and not interested. I heard that Sean Lennon was dating one of the Cibo Mato girls

I forgot to mention reggae music. Horace Andy, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Mad Professor & Bob Marley rule!!! Jah Rastafari

Have any of you noticed that James Brown seems to be on the rise again in commercials and movies?

After waiting over a year from the date I placed a deposit, the delays in getting our local dealership completed, and now the west coast dock lockout slowdown - I will be happy just to see my mini when she arrives next week. (2003 Indie blue cooper with areo kit, sport package, stripes, 17" yokohama's)

it would have to be "low rider" and "summertime" by WAR

I have my iPod already loaded and ready!

I burned myself a nice compilation cd to listen/dance to on the
way back from the dealer. it turns out that my stock cd
player skips tracks on all of my home-made cd's!? The songs will
play, but then it starts to sound like a broken record.
(it repeats in the middle of the song)
I experimented on my husband's car, and the same cd plays
without skipping. I also tested it out on my cd player at home
and it played fine... When I listen to a store-bought cd in my
mcs, it plays fine except when I go over a slight bump. I can live
with that...
Does anyone have this problem?

>>Gonna have to burn my own for this little event:
>>
>>STP - Interstate Love song
>>Steppenwolfe - Magic Carpet Ride
>>Deep Purple - Highway Star
>>AC/DC - Highway to Hell
>>Molly Hatchet - Flirtin' with Disaster
>>Lynyrd Skynyrd - Call Me the Breeze
>>Blackfoot - Highway Song
>>Animal Bag - Everybody
>>Bob Seger - Ramblin' Gamblin' Man
>>Buckcherry - Lit Up
>>Soundgarden - Spoonman
>>Jerry Reed - East Bound and Down
>>Puddle of Mud - Control
>>Refreshments - Banditos
>>
>>and if it will fit
>>
>>Pantera - Cowboys from Hell
>>
>>....can you picture it? What a wonderful day it will be!!!!!!!!!

Very weird to come across this thread.

I have used Frankie Goes To Hollywood's "Welcome to the Pleasuredome" to break in all radios new or installed and new or used car purchases. Since the inception of the song.

If anyone has heard this song, it tests the system very well.

The bunch o homos had a coupla good songs.

The first CD I played was planned for some time prior to the car's delivery. Can't explain why, but for me, there was no other choice but Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, title track, max volume....... Just seemed a perfect match to the car!

--------
The answer is simple, "Emerson, Lake & Palmer" (ELP), song six: "Lucky Man". It says it all.

wow, I dunno if I can predict what'll be my first album put in the deck. I usualy make a big stink about it (at least mentally) with any new system, but it ends up being whatever's in my cd wallet, plus whatever I'm in the mood for. My drive will be about half hour from the dealership home, so it'll be a few songs defintely.

Potentials most likely:
Keb' Mo' - Slow Down
Jurassic 5 - Power in Numbers
Orbital - In Sides
Derrick May, Aphex Twin, and Richie Hawtin - Live @ Fuse (unreal mix!)

When I picked up Blanche last night, I played a CD I burned myself. As follows:

Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel
Here's Where the Story Ends - Sundays
Should I Stay or Should I Go - Clash
Cello Song - Nick Drake
The Sweetest Thing - U2
Fell in Love With a Girl - White Stripes
Crash (remix) - Dave Mathews
Lovely Day - Bill Withers
Sun is Shining (remix) - Bob Marley
Under Pressure - David Bowie/Queen
Sin Wagon - Dixie Chicks
I Want You to Want Me - Letters to Cleo
Pink Moon - Nick Drake
I Will Survive - Cake
Road to Nowhere - Talking Heads

Eclectic enough for ya?
