Well, since I'm gonna have a yellow Mini, I will have to listen to Beatles-Yellow Submarine! I mean so British and fun. What more can you ask?

Motorhead, the Who, the Rolling Stones... all great choices. Just watched "The Kids Are Alright" movie yesterday, so I may be leaning toward "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere" at the moment.

The other thing that suddenly pops in my head whenever I see a Mini is Chuck Berry. Maybe "Bye Bye Johnny" or "Maybellene" or "Let It Rock." Maybe the Stones or Motorhead version of "Let It Rock."

There's a whole list of other car songs... Tom Robinson Band "2-4-6-8 Motorway," Seger's "Get out of Denver," McCartney's "Helen Wheels."

Then it may be something a bit more obscure... Mott the Hoople's "Drivin' Sister."

Anyway, I've got about 4 months to decide and get make my own mix CD for the occasion.

gotta agree with wainair... just picked up the hives disc myself, and
can't stop listening to it... it'll definitely be on the Mini playlist!

i thought of one... does anyone know the song title or artist from the
first mini production video on miniusa.com? you know, the "how did you
ever get so..." song? i'd like to drive away from the dealership imitating
the afro guy in the commercial!

When I picked up my MINI Cooper it was "At the Drive In" ... now waiting on my MINI Cooper S to get here... thinking it will be the new "Red Hot Chili Peppers" disc!

To "help" out my selections I will definitely be upgrading my stereo system. Already have it all figured out and am now ordering the components... Alpine 7995 CD deck, XM radio, replace all speakers with MB Quarts, and rewire the whole thing with a spankin new amp!

Custom--- So far, (i've got a while to pick out which songs), but some Fantastic Plastic Machine, some Old-Skool hardcore techno (2 bad mice), Round Table (Their cover of 'Sunshine Day'.. can't resist...), Pizzicato 5, Konishi Yasuhara, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Arling and Cameron, Maybe a Sloan track or two... but i'm going with mostly the Shyubia(sp?)K style of music. Quite a few S.K. songs have an updated swingin' 60 feel, and that's my fav style, it should be quite a match.... I just hope it's ready on a Saturday, so I can tool around in it after I drive it off the lot (I work nights, and it would SUCK picking it up before work... I have an awesome car, but it's in the parkinglot, and i'm stuck in my cubicle... the horror...)...

The "******" soundtrack was made to listen to in this car. We listened to it during the 2nd test drive...

Also, "car" themed songs, like The Who's "Going Mobile," and Ministry's "Jesus Built My Hotrod." I'm working on a mix CD for when we pick it up from the dealer  Still in production
