I'm very sorry to relay the news that the Harmon Kardon upgrade package will now be delayed 'til December manufacture, with January delivery, according to my dealer (Prestige MINI, Mahwah, NJ). Apparently there was an announcement by MINI yesterday.

I'm very depressed, three more months of waiting !

Yes, Just re-visited my MINI dealer in MOrristown, NJ. Said same about options. I told them to HOLD the HK stereo - just ain't worth waiting another 3 months+ for. They just received their allotment for September and they're placing my order for a MCS tomorrow for Sept build!!! I'm so excited!!!

 

I'm jealous.

And starting to rethink the HK wait ...

Yeah, I'll wait. I go down next week with my deposit. Even if I didn't have to wait a year and a half, I would still wait for the propper sound. I really think that it will be worth the wait.

I totally agree except that the HK stereo has been delayed three times and there are rumors that it will be dropped. I wouldn't count on December production. If at all, will prob be more like spring.

 

yep - i heard from my dealer the hk system is pushed to december (as are the rain sensing wipers) - I finally broke down and just said to order the car sans rain sensing wipers and hk system.

My projected build date is 9/27.

I know i'll be happier with car in hand and if I want I can install something a heck of a lot nicer than the hk system if I want to.
