Latest DVD for Nav

How do I know if I have the latest DVD release for my Nav system. I just picked up my MINI and a lot of stuff seems outdated on it compared to my old NAV system in my old car

Anyone? I have the same question. I think I heard a while back about a newer DVD disk for 2005.

Latest from Nav-Tek (sp?) is 2005-2.

If you just got your car, odds are you have an outdated one, as the new one just came out in April. Don't know how fast MINI gets new stock.

Such garbage my car came with 2003-2 I knew there was a new disk out when I got my car and told my dealer I wanted the new dvd. They told me I get what came with the car.

Ya

Mini went from 2003-2 to 2005-2. Its very odd Navtech wouldn't release an updated Nav DVD for 2004, I'm sure some roads had to be built in that year. Though I fully agree with you. If I'm paying 1800 for a 05 car, I fully expect a 2005 DVD.

April 30 Delivery MCS came with 2003 DVD

I picked-up my car on 4/30 and it did not come with the Feb./2005 DVD. I called everyone at dealer and at Ask Mini and they all said that they would continue to use their large stock of 2003 DVDs until they were used up and it was just tough. They said that if I wanted the 2005 DVD to contact Nateq. I was mad, but nothing that I could do.

I am thinking about buying the 2005 DVD, but want to try it out to see if it is worth it first. Anyone ordered one that they can loan/rent to me?

It was worth the $$ to buy the updated one, especially with all the updates it covered..

**cough** BitTorrent! **cough**

Seriously though, a 2005 car should come with a 2005 disc. Period.

I will happily buy a new map disc from NavTeq... when I feel the 2005 one is too out of date (which might be as soon as 2006, at the rate of growth here in the Washington DC area!).

I would, unless it talks in 'Olde English', then it would be cool!

"When thou hath reached half a league, thou shalt turn right to enter the pathway"

Or "Egads! Thou hast reached a waterway. Switcheth on thy wipers and closeth thy windows."
