iPod Photo Putput To Nav Screen?

I had this idea earlier today.... The iPod Photo has an A/V out, so, wouldn't it be possible to connect it to the Nav screen, so you can see your MP3 info, album art, etc, on it's screen?

Cool idea! If there's enough demand, someone might design an interface for that.

There are some other treads here that deal with interfaces to input video into the Nav screen. I think it would easily work... however the interfaces I saw were close to $1200. I wish I could find a cheaper way input video to my nav screen. You do have good idea!

Doesn't the iPod for photo only output video during slideshows and photo navigation/selection? If not, then you're hooked up. Once you get the tv-nav adapter, etc.

cheers,
matthew Z.

I don't know! I guess I should go buy one and find out... I just picked up 2 iPods Mini's today, a Blue and a Silver to see which I like the color of better, the blue does not match my Hyper Blue MINI, but it does look like it would match the Electric Blue! Silver does match the interior... But, it looks like I am going to have to go for the 60g, as I have 63g's of songs so far (at least 60 more CD's to rip!)

Maybe someone can give me a tip/tips on what to actually select for the small size of the MINI's? iTunes does that for you, but, still... I have NO idea what it's criterier is...

Our Universal RGB Interface offers dual video and adjustable color, contrast, and brightness. I do not have the pinout for the Mini's navigation system, but I am sure someone here on NAM, someone does. I can couple the Universal RGB interface with our aux interface for an additional discount. The dual RGB Convertor will be $250 when purchased alone. If you purchase the RGB Convertor with the BMW/AUX DMX V.1 the price will be $300 for both.

Oaky, where can I lean more about this? What kind of video input does the RGB converter take?

Our RGB convertor takes composite video inputs. Unfortunately these interfaces are not listed on our website yet. But any questions you may have I can answer.

Thank you - that's why I couldn't find them. Can you email me some info?
