Radio presets overriding eachother?

When I turn the car on the preset is correct, playing the station it's set to. then I change stations and change back using the **** or steering or any buttons and it's playing one of my other preset stations not the original, display shows a mix of both the correct one and incorrect one. Til I turn off ignition or seek/scan 1or 2 stations up then back .
-
P(preset)1 is 107.3fm, p7 is 98.9. i roll the **** from 1 to 12 and back or press another preset, and p1 becomes whats on p7, but keeps the indicator on 107.3 and displays the RDS info for 98.9 .
Help??
see video so im not crazy: http://youtu.be/2sTjQxh__PM

All other presets work fine, 2-12 dont have that issue, just seems to be station on p1.

Are you sure you don't have HD? If the HD signal is weak, it will switch back to analog, which the station might be playing different music on that signal. There is a way to turn off HD completely, it's in the manual. Doing that process will also confirm if you do have HD.

positive. Car didn't come with it. Even does it in other parts of town where that station has full signal

+1
Maybe you got a free item....I'd try it...sounds like the option might be one enabled by software...and your radio might have had a "glitch" and it turned on...you might have discovered something!! I'd listen to the odd station for a bit one day...listen for identification....
Having a weak station...then suddenly getting a cyystal clear station...on the same band...sounds like HD is getting picked up..and switching to it...some HD feeds have 4 other stations in the same frequency....

After a bit of research, seems HD radio became standard equipment on a mini. I haven't figured out what year it started, but I know mine came with HD radio without me ordering it. I'll do some more poking around..

I just now watched your video clip again. I'm inclined to believe you, on your preset 1, it would have said HD1 in the window if it was an HD channel. Hope I'm making sense here. Just out of curiosity, what do you see when you press the button for 'Set'? It's towards the right side of the long line of buttons. The window will change for options to turn on or off, one of them will be for RDS.

so to update this... it would still do it on occasion, then i got radio replaced last week due to bad pixels in the display. They replaced the whole unit, and this one does it too!. the weirdest thing! even rearranged all my presets and when i tune 107.3 FM either through scanning, Using the Manual mode or a preset... It will pause then default to 98.9 FM. i even took 98.9 off the presents completely, and it still does it 9 out of 10 times. i got nothing
