Anybody trying mounting GPS to giant speedo?

Seems like a good place for it since I use the digital speedo anyways. Anybody try it? Is the speedo face durable enough for suction cup mounting?

I use a suction mount on the speedo for my ipod touch when I'm running the Rev. software. Works fine, holds great.

Use a mount with a short stem, otherwise vibration might be an issue, possible broken glass/plastic.

Works great for me, however sometimes it loses suction and falls off while I'm driving.

Just remember that this will scratch a lot easier than glass. You have seen the suction cup marks left on windows haven't you?

I was doing this for a while too when I actually use the gps (~1 time a month). I just got a gominigo mount since I hate the gps falling off while I drive, it freaks me out!

I use the GPS maybe once every two months so I'm not too concerned about wear and tear.
