Sub and Amp Install Questions.

I have a Kicker 10" and an amplifier. I have all the wiring and everything prepared. But do I need a RCA converter or is there some other way I can wire the head unit to the amplifier? And what do I hook the remote wire to in the head unit?

I'm sure all this has been asked before so sorry!

Thanks guys!

You will need a line out converter that converts the speaker signal to low level RCA output. I am unsure on the remote out, but possibly wire it to a switched 12v wire.

There are some amplifiers that have high level inputs (speaker wire input)

But amplifiers with standard RCA input and no high level input - will not work for you.

If your amp can take speaker wire input, just tap the rear speaker lines and run them to the amp, then to your sub. I've heard others have done this successfully. But I am no electrical engineer.

What do the 6 connections say and how many terminals does the amp have on the output?
