Navigation & Audio MINI Cooper wall thread, version 2
Thanks for the help Pimp...I updated my status...its completely dead and is being replaced in the morning...going Yellow because it is here in town...should work well...just one of those things that has to happen...I know it will pay for itself though
crap, i have to re cut that side piece that fits in the side window area.
i painted the back side of it yesterday so you cant see the wood color through the tint in bright sun, and it was outside drying, and i forgot about it over night, and the dew overnight got it all moist and wet!!!!

box = in for good.
glued/screwed it down to the false floor today.
the side panels are just sitting there, i havent put them in yet. gonna get the top piece cut before i screw those 2 window panels in. theres padding on the back as well, where it hit the window a bit.

had a whole sheet of birch, and all i have left is the top/front/port, which wont be a whole sheet, so instead of 2x4s, i added a 2nd layer of 3/4" birch to the back, it made it very solid.
had to 2 piece it

hell, i like how the back is looking better than the front lol.

also, as far as all the 90 degree angles inside the box go....im going to round them all before i fiberglass the entire interior of the box, but the box will be complete before i do so. also, i just want to test the box without glass/rounding the edges, and see how it sounds, and go from there.

I am thinking about swapping my Audiobahns for some Fusions...what do you think...
I know they are not the best, but I love Fusion...I don't need the loudest.
I love the way they move and sound
So, Fusion v.s. Audiobahn...let me hear it
No pun intended...

haha thanks. i work with what i got.
starting to come together!!!!
will be 2 layers thick, and a 3rd layer on the outside, which will be the flush panel/trim panel, and have a brace in the center of the 2 subs, from that point, to the floor.

Now I'm all confused...
so the clam is dead and the tilted wall is here? TEst fit the speakers etc to see if the seats have room. We'd all cry if you had to start a third thread to cover version III....

it fits, im short, the other one I could drive fine. it was the passenger seat, if you were over my height (5 ft 9 in, 140 lbs) you wouldnt be very comfertable. at least now, its angled at 70 degrees, so the back of the seat can be angled as well, not as if there were no wall there, but you have to sacrifice. lol.
new pics uploading now, im EXTREMELY happy with it thus far!!!!

cut out the 2nd baffle. and test fit of the basket for the 18
btw, its bent from the factory, so i gotta call up RE and see whats up...someone failed in china, LOL
the money shot!
angle = 70 degrees

foamed up

little gaps that need filling. no big deal,

had to cut it all funky looking, due to the B pillars being only about 45" wide from side to side, and the box is like 47"
trim panel will cover this
