Kuda mount and GPS installed

Just wanted to say that I successfully installed the Kuda dashboard mount and a new Garmin 650 in my wife's Mini over the weekend. Wanted to thank all those who have posted hints and techniques which made this install go very smoothly. I actually printed out Lancning post with the pics and went to the car, very informative and very helpful. Great work guys and thanks again.

Yes, I hardwired mine. When I had the dash panels off for the Kuda install I just tucked the wire behind the panels and ran over to the passenger footwell area then got an add-a-circuit kit(got mine from Advance Auto here locally) for the install. Fairly straightforward and makes for a nice neat looking install.

how many amps did you use in the new fuse and what fuse location did you go to? I went to F32 with a 7.5 amp fuse

Same here on the circuit, used F32 but for no in particular reason. I thought about using the one for the CD changer as I don't have the 6 disc changer, at least that's what I thought that symbol meant(several plates stacked on top of each other) but went with what has worked for others. I did reuse the 7.5 amp fuse then added a 5 amp for the Garmin and works fine. It should not pull very many amps although I didn't research to find out.

cool, i added a 7.5 amp for the Garmin, i hope it's not too much ( i didn't see it written anywhere as to how much to use) Does your Garmin power on and off with the ignition?
