I don't know anyone with them in a MINI but guaranteed they'd sound awesome. You wouldn't even need a big amp to make them super loud.

In our DIY section there is a write up with pics on an underhood airhorn installation. Might help.

I've heard that horn loaded compression drivers can suck at low volumes, but if you like your music loud enough to make your ears bleed then they will give better sound at those volumes than a regular tweeter would.

someone told you wrong. horns are awesome. I have some in my home system and they are sweet at any volume. If I could afford horns for my MINI I'd be all over them.

Horns can sound good, or they can sound bad........ listen to old JBLs and they usually sound good, listen to old Peavey and they sound no where near as good........ now a days it's easier to make good horns because materials are better, and the programs to help you make a good horn are more prevalent.

Oh, and I am talking about car audio horns, for music, not to tell people to get out of my way.... which reminds me........ I wonder if train air horns would fit in a Mini ... hmmm
