Car show winners?
The only names I can think of right now are Russ Anderson for his Coupe, Heidi Frisch for her Roadster, Luther Shields for the hard top Cooper S, I got the convertible award (yay!)
I was pretty tired by then, I can't remember who else won, or I didn't know who they were.
Maybe the powers that be will post once they get some R & R

The 2nd place CM winners were at the dinner, the first place winner was not there, think the first name was Jerry or Jesse.....We were in the show too, congrats to all the CM's that were there, we represented the model well as last year it was me and 2 others!

What a nice surprise I didn't think we were going to place and we got first! That makes me very distraught that we didn't go to the dinner. Was the second place car the white with the purple roof? Thanks again Don for the info! I already emailed Alan he hasn't gotten back to me yet but he will!

Nope, only they did it differently this year....last year we all got to vote for other MINIs, this year I think there were 4 judges from the resort that voted. Last year they assessed points on Exterior/Interior Cleanliness, Stripes, Youfication, etc........it still is a contest, and there were some awesome looking CMs...I'm just excited to see more CMs as last year, kinda felt like a red headed step-child.....some MINI loyalists don't appreciate the model.....yet it now represents 1/3 of MINI sales.....we're growing!!
I do know they were taking points off for dirt on the inside of wheels and dirty rotors, if that gives you an idea.
3 Judges were from Winter Park Resort, one was the CEO of WPR and he is a judge in various car shows (Corvette owner/show car type), he is a stickler.
The 4th Judge was Earnie D, the owner/Manger and head wrench at Peak Eurosport, he is a car guy too.
The other two judges are folks who appreciate MINIs and not to technical, so a good balance in the judging.
If you want a read on the official criteria which will change again next year, contact Alan. I know he is busy paying bills for MITM, he is the MINI5280 Treasurer.

Yup, always nice to know where you got dinged for next time
We got dinged with another car in a show in Santa Fe for not having all the screw heads facing exactly the same way (one was off about 30deg). Now, that is serious!
I would like to see the judges sheets. I know they decided at the last minute not to look under the hood (probably shouldn't have spent and hour on that). Most likely because a lot of the owners weren't around during the judging.

We must remember, even if the judges were critical or not so critical, it was !NUF = FUN.
No real reason to be serious and we will do it again, sometimes I think MINIs should only be judged on uniqueness and the fun factor, not anything technical.
More fun, less work.

I agree! It was just as fun this year as last.....it's more about seeing all the "youified" MINIs....I hope my replies/comments weren't presented as being serious or disappointment at all! We had a great time and will do it again.....cheers!
