I saw where a few people wanted to start a roster of the people who are planning to attend the Dragon Tail Run at Deal’s Gap the first part of May.

To keep it simple only to get the basic information how about real name, MCO name and where you are coming from.

Name: Pat Walsh
MCO Name: sndwave
Location: Fort Walton Beach

One of the problems with compiling a roster is that not everyone who is going frequent the same boards. I run the rally mailing list (which currently has 122 subscribers), and about a month or so ago, I tried compiling a list there. This is what I came up with at the time:

Jason Tucker, Philadelphia, PA
David Miskell
Chris Bader, Asheville, NC
Angel and Charles Durham
Steve Dellinger, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Clover (MINIclo) Butte, Los Angeles, CA
Patrick O'Lone, Olney, MD
Erin Mulrooney, Albany, NY
Paul Coveney, Chattanooga Tn.
Donna & Mike from Northern Virginia
Lisa & Shaun will be coming from Hilton Head Area
Paul Darrow, Atlanta, GA
Rocco and Anne Luongo, Dracut, MA
Chris Suich, Apex, NC
Brad MacMonagle Apex,NC
Jeff and Kim Jenkins - Nashville, TN
Joe Bivins Virginia Beach, Va.
Jean & Katie Lambkin, Fayetteville (Atlanta) GA
Katie Williams and Paul Evans from Severna Park, MD
John DaCrema, Northern VA
Mick Keenoy (Killerbee) St. Louis MO
Tom Clark, Clarksville, MD
Jonathan & Carolyn
Vince, Dunedin, FL
pat and paula boyd
Sam and Cindy Johnson, Memphis, TN
David Miskell - Memphis TN
Brian and Dana McMahan
Charley & Jane Radcliffe, Gadsden, AL
Barry and Tony, Atlanta, staying at Fontana.
Laura White - Atlanta GA

I'm sure there have been a good number of folks who have committed since then.

Unfortunately, I think the only way to get a *definitive* list of attendees will be to have everyone sign a registry when they get there.

This went out to all on the mailing list tonight

Biltmore Attendees as of April 3, 2003

Eric a.k.a. MINIPOWER 1
Donna & Mike 2
Paddy 1
Barbara Miller 1 (maybe 2)
Mick & Jan Keenoy 2
Sam & Cindy Johnson 2
Katie Williams 2
Holly 1
Bruce a.k.a. brumi315 2
George a.k.a. mininc 1
Tom & Elizabeth Clark 2
AprilWhine & Fuzzy One2
Davis Hubbs & Wife ?
Janibird & One Self-Provided
Chris & Barbara Bader 2

It appears from the email responses, that a mid-morning arrival might be best. This would allow an easy drive from the Robbinsville area into Asheville. I thought we would join up somewhere of the West Side of Asheville and convoy to the Biltmore planning on a 10:30 arrival. The tour takes about 2 ½ hours putting us at the Deerpark Restaurant around 1:00 p.m. This would allow those returning to Robbinsville plenty of time to enjoy the drive.

An alternate would be skip the lunch and take a lovely drive down Hwy 9 through Chimney Rock and around Lake Lure then Hwy 64 back towards Hendersonville joining with Interstate 26. Just an idea.

If others are interested please let me know. The website (http://www.mushr00m.com/~jason/mini-rally/) has all the info.

I added myself to the Biltmore thing for Saturday, May 3rd. I think Jason's plans for Friday and Saturday sound great!

Sam, It was my idea for everyone to meet up at Fontana Village at one time and do a cruise up the Dragon, but looks like Jason's plan has more exposure, so let's go for his idea instead!

Have I missed something?? The last sorta schedule set up for the Friday Dragon run that I have is from Bill Koff, <bkoff@charter.net> posted on the dragonmini email list, that suggested we meet at the Fontana Village Inn parking lot at approx 8:30am on Friday Morning...
Is there something more????? Please let me know as I do not want to be the one sitting in the parking lot wondering where everyone else is

Thanks
Sam

This is more of an announcement, but it's On-Topic, and at least funny, so here goes:

The "Party Cabin" aka Mully, Zero, myself and HollyRN, are officially looking for at least one and maybe two more occupants for our 3 bedroom cabin at Fontana Village for the Deal's Gap trip, May 1st thru 4th.

Those whom are interested may PM any one of us, however your selection will be based upon several criteria (not really, but I just want this to sound like a "contest" ),

Yes, it is true...unfortunately some of our roomies have to work (grr: work always ruins out fun!!). But we promise a GREAT time for whoever wants to join us!

*Special note to all interested parties: contrary to rumors floating around this gossip rag, whoever stays in our cabin WILL be guaranteed a good night's sleep...well, maybe not guaranteed, but Adam and I claim no responsibility for any sleep lost!

contrary to popular belief (well, at least ryan) i am not a messy person. i do, however, require massive doses of caffeine, and feeding every three quarters of an hour. thusly, you must be prepared to serve me coca-cola and peanut butter and jelly sammiches.

we'll have bitchin' stereophonic fun, movies, and borad games of note: TWISTER, scrabble, pictionary, etc.

sign up today! don't miss your chance to be a part of this wonderful once in a lifetime or two's chance!

Staying at....well we aren't really sure. We will be heading down on Friday afternoon and staying into Saturday. Mike (2minis) offered us a place to stay, so it may be wherever that is.

Mully & Zero....ya'll have extra room also?

I just got a phone call from 2minis. He is on his way to North Carolina for the Dragon Run. I am sorry to report that he got a speeding ticket and could not talk his way out of this one. So any one leaving tomorrow beware of TIFTON, GEORGIA. They are waiting for and looking for MINI's so watch out and slow down. 2minis reports the speed limit drops quick to 65 mph without much warning. Sorry no more details to report.
