Oldboy Speedwell, I think the confusion is with the diagram and description for the spoiler you found in your thread. From that site, it looks like 51710021452 is the spoiler you were looking for, but that part number is for the same spoiler shown in the aero kit diagram at Mini of Kennisaw, and also described as the aero kit spoiler at the ECS and other sites.

51627117730 should be part number for the smaller spoiler you were looking for.

Hopefully ECS can clear up the confusion with the part numbers and spoiler descriptions.

Well,
this is one of the most sparse ads I've seen.
Not much on the details.
Nice price though.
2005 MCS
Slicktop.
$3,000
Located in North Carolina.
https://eastnc.craigslist.org/cto/d/...923606144.html

Pure silver looks absolutely great with body color roof!

:

This one ain't exactly a deal, but it is a JCW slicktop with very low mileage.
2005 MCS JCW
44,048 miles
$11,890
https://fingerlakes.craigslist.org/c...909442316.html

Another body color roof and dark silver always looks good.

Ran the VIN and it appears to be a dealer installed JCW kit.
Wow super low miles! on the second one.

To add more confusion, the numbers stamped on them are different than the factory parts number.

The small spoiler that I got is stamped like this:

Good Deals on CL-hrwkczh.jpg

The larger spoiler is stamped
like this:

Good Deals on CL-tak8pqv.jpg

The larger spoiler also has 3 mounting bolts as opposed to the 2 of the smaller version.

Good Deals on CL-kdv7gun.jpg

It was actually easier to find used examples of these using that stamped number instead of the official number,
punching in "7122799 mini" or "1481430 mini" provided quite a few hits.

Here's another one with low miles,
very low miles!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/223576736721

Asking price for buy-it-now is $45,000.

Good Deals on CL-w5aslc6.jpg

More pictures are needed for that kind of over-the-top price!

The record high for R53 that I've seen was the one from BaT last year,
an '06 GP with 14 miles which had been kept in a carcoon:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-mini-gp-5/

It brought $36,000.

Good find!

Extremely low miles for an '03!

Asking price is slightly high, but then again not many of this vintage with such low miles out there.

Looks to be very well kept too.

The seller did a great job of providing good photos --- showing the motor as well as with wheels off.

My only complaint is a minor one - improper location of the rear JCW badge, but that can be easily fixed.

Facebook 2005 JCW 180k miles for $4200 obo

decent deal on a potential JCW “driver”. Honestly it’s probably worth $3k to 3500 as a parts car if that aerokit isn’t damaged.

Except for the crappy wrap job it looks good! It's not a color issue so much as a texture one. You can tell on the A panels that the vinyl is going a different direction from the rest of the job. I wonder what the paint looks like underneath?

Very nice! That color is amazing! If I didn't already have 2 MINI's I'd be all over this!

It is for sale right here in our Marketplace. I'd love it had I seen it before my GP, but I am still in love with my GP.

Good looking GP The carpets and the seats look like it was owned by Pigpen. I didn't think they came with the center arm rest - and it looks like the lid is broken. Just pointing out, they didn't come with Recaro's here in the states, and the rear bar is a "luggage bar" not a rear strut brace.

If he actually gets his asking price I'd be tempted to sell mine just because

To add to scubus’s comments, it looks like this example is actually worse than other GPs currently for sale at prices $10k or more less. The only thing it has going for it are the low miles. No way that car is in showroom condition without a major detailing and couple thousand dollars worth of reconditioning and mod removal. IMO to get that price (which a couple of low mileage GPs have auctioned for) this car would need to be absolutely perfect.

Things that are not perfect, the ad is either someone’s attempt at a professional sounding blurb or a copy and paste from a website that doesn’t really know about GPs. Also, my Poirot skills could not find this “Hastings”.

Interior is indeed covered in dirt and the driver seat leather is showing some wear. Where are the unobtainable red trimmed GP floormats? Also, I agree with scubus regarding the arm rest not being standard and the top may not be broken, but it is definitely missing as it does not move that far back without coming out. The key is missing its MINI logo. The biggest reason no GP collector is going to pay that asking price: the non-stock aftermarket stereo. To be north of $20k, this would have to be actually showroom condition and stock vs modified and needing a bath.

Still an interesting find. Makes you wonder what happened to it?

Thanks mate! This is my last posting place before I part it out and sell it stock. Feels like such a waste to do that...

Kinda scary that this looks better prepared for pics/selling than that last GP. 8k is probably a good price but even with low miles you should be prepared for some maintenance... bushings, struts, seals all deteriorate with time and will need replaced.

This is a good find though! Good color, pre-facelift, slicktop, low miles.

If you do let me know. My R56 could use some attention. It feels a little left out since I picked up the R53.

Boo! Burn the witch!!!

JK. I do love the earlier Skylines. Only a few on the roads around here but you do see them on occasion. Is Nissan dying? They used to make such compelling cars. Based on the number of Muranos I see they must be doing well, but it sure doesn't feel like the same company.

With the exception of the Skyline and Silvia I haven't liked much from Nissan since the early Sentra SE-R. Driving they all feel clunky and the interior just doesn't feel finished to me. I did like the old Fairlady Z's though.

I was a Honda guy back in the day. Prelude's mainly but I had a group a friends that were all over the place with cars. My buddy still has an 85 Mugen CRX that he has completely restored with all original Mugen parts. He only drives it occasionally and shows it locally when he can.

Nice find! If I had to be picky, the car has every option package, but missed the rear fog light so there is a missing toggle switch.

Also, suspect there may have been a front end repair. The ad states that the car has the full “factory aero” kit, including the front bumper. However it has the standard front bumper and the front grille is from a 2002-2004 pre-LCI car, so it’s been replaced. And the bonnet swoop stripe is missing.

Still, gotta love a 25k mile R53 w/LSD. I’d ****** it up, sell off the interior, find an Aero front bumper, and this would make a great R53.
