Good Deals on Craigslist (and elsewhere)

Year: 2006
Make: MINI
Model: Hardtop
Price: $1
Mileage: 100
Color: red
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): Midwestern

Post the price, year, mileage next to link, so when it expires we have a reference point for others.

Example:

$7400
06 Cooper S JCW
80k miles

https://ventura.craigslist.org/EXAMPLE.html

----

I come across great deals on rarer R53/2 all the time, and usually have to painfully watch them expire. If you see a nice, well priced, or rare Cooper post a link!

I'll start:

Not great prices but here are a couple Sidewalk JCWs:

Thats not exactly the nature of this thread. Post amazing deals or rare Coopers here. Might have better luck posting a WTB advert.

Dealer installed JCW. Seems reasonable for mileage. I just can't stomach tan interiors on anything other than a Ferrari.

Oh ugh, that should not be in there. The factory must've had some spare interior parts laying around and decided they needed a place to put them.

Theres a GP with 60k on it for 14k in San Francisco. Looks like the radiator support has been replaced. Not sure what the deal is with those two braided lines coming from the side of the condenser.

Last of the Supercharged JCW with low miles! Man, if I was in the market I'd be all over this one! Factory LSD FTW!

Looks like it has an oil cooler mounted up front. It has a bunch of other aftermarket add-ons, too.

Last of the supercharged ~90k miles for under $10k looks to need a bit of freshening, especially a headlight restore. In Ocean Springs, MS.

Is that an aftermarket head unit?

I'm in the market for something like this. Seems like a great price on a GP if it were in decent shape / no accidents.

2006 MCS for $3500? I wonder what is wrong with it...

It does have 161k on the clock but still seems low to me.

2009 JCW for $3500??!!

Is this real life?? A '09 JCW for $3500

110K miles and it has a clean title. It sounds too good to be true.

There's got to be something.. Not sure why, but in general R53's seem to go for more than same mileage early R56's. Preference or are those engines grenades?

Its the engines. Even if you maintain them they can go. If the check engine light comes on you better stop :(. Valve deposits, vacuum pump, timing chain, EGR valve integrated into valve cover, HPFP and several oil leaks (turbo oil line, and various seals)

Wowsers. Is that the case for all R56 variants? Hows F56?

My understanding is that the engine issues are most prevalent in the 2007-2010 Cooper S cars. Some of the early 2011s have issues, but late 2011-2013 are pretty reliable (not R53 reliable), but much better than the early R56 turbo cars. Best way to tell is the giant price difference between early R56 S cars, R53 cars, and early R56 Cooper non-S cars.
