How I spent part of the day before the rain.

Today was a day at MINI of Loveland, I took the Countryman up for it's 1st Oil Change. I wanted that break-in oil out.

MOL has two techs in the MINI shop now, this is good, they did a nice job on the CM. Cleaned up, too. New wash/detail guy moved over from BMW side, knows his stuff.

I drove around in a nice Loaner --- found some curvy roads to try out, had coffee with my son in Greeley.

Loaner, 2010 JCW Cabrio. It has some zip.

Btw, the nice house overlooking Windsor in the background is for-sale. Not mine, but I would buy it if I was not retired.

At Schomp last week I had a 2011 CM Cooper S in Cosmic Blue with 6 speed as a loaner, it was raining to hard to really enjoy it. It had some zip too.

I take my 07 back to Schomp in the AM for some more maint. work I want done before warranty expires in June.

Wonder if I will get the CM Cooper S again, probably not!

Don

Wow, nice loaner! The best I scored was a 2010 Clubman S. Fun car, but no JCW.

Nice! I'd love to try out some other MINI's like that sometime! The only ones I've ever driven have been:

1.) a chili red one (not sure on the model) up in Montana back in the day when I was deciding on whether to get a MINI (that was the day I verified that was a definite yes!) and
2.) my current MINI, Volly. I am sure I'd love any MINI that I drove though! :D Such perfect little cars.

All it takes

Well you can get a loaner at Schomp or MINI of Loveland if you take your MINI in for service. Most of the time, they will set you up with a loaner, but sometimes they do not.

This week has been MINI week as well as last week too.

I was not expecting a loaner today, since I was finishing up some work started last week and getting a warranty item replaced.

Surprise, I got a nice 2011 BRG MCS 6 speed for the day.

The staff at Schomp were very fast, Scooter was ready at 1pm, I figured I would have this 11 til 3pm. In at 10am, for front rotors and pads, auto trans mount and new R56 spark plugs at my request. Auto trans mount was the warranty item, if you auto get your MINI checked for this mount, it is on a service bulletin.

Oh well it was raining. Sure wish the rain would go away before I turn into a duck or frog.

Here is todays ride:

If you should be looking, Schomp has a nice selection.

MINI of Loveland has a good selection, too.

Enjoy, Scooter is back at Schomp in a week or so for the bluetooth module, it had to be ordered.

OMG, I hope it is not coming from Japan, it will be months. Actually, they said it is coming from Cali.

Do a dance for no-rain for Jamie's Sunday drive.....

Can you even get a loaner if it's just something like an oil change? Nice pics by the way! I think I need a MINI in every color. I want them all! :D

Usually not an oil change unless they have a surplus of loaners available. Not a usual situation.

But I have got a loaner when taking it in for the yearly since they check a lot of stuff.

Very nice!

Schomp has offered me a loaner when my car was in for an oil change. Must have been one of those surplus days.

When you schedule an oil change, let them know you would like a loaner. Sometimes I will drop my car off the night before & get the loaner, then after work go switch cars

I had a JCW Clubman for a couple of weeks, when he handed me the keys he said "All tickets are on you." Got a ticket 1 1/2 blocks from work

See ya Sunday, this is going to be a really fun drive.

I have only ever got one loner from Schomp (Still have never seen MOL) it was back in '07 when the R56 just came out. They gave me a '07 COOPER for the day, it was fun for a justaCooper. Maby next time I will get lucky an get the '11 JCW, or CM All4 S.
