For sale is a brand new Borla S-Type Cat Back exhaust for an R53 Mini (2004-2006). I picked this up for my 2005, but ended up selling it and this was never installed. From what I can tell, Amazon has the cheapest price at around $850 shipped including tax. I'm selling for SOLD shipped. The system can also be picked up in Durham, NC for SOLD.

The Borla Race exhaust is uses smaller mufflers to create a very aggressive, loud, and fun sound. The Race is intended for people who want their MINI to bark and not be inconspicuous. Where the Borla Street exhaust is great for people who want to hear the engine a tiny bit more, the Race is an exhaust that you will hear all the time. It pops and burbles with every lift off the gas and creates a throaty rumble as you rev through the RPM band. It's a very un-MINI like sound that actually works well with the MINI's motorsport and sporting heritage. It installs on to the factory cat section with all of the factory gaskets and hangers.

Every Borla is made with 304 stainless steel for the internals and muffler body. Unlike other systems that can use coated aluminum, mild steel, or 409 stainless, the Borla uses true 304 stainless on the inside as well as the outside. This prevents the muffler from rusting and deteriorating from the inside out. Borla guarantees every muffler with a 1,000,000 mile warranty.

I just installed this "S-Type" system, along with a Kelly Racing header, and I LOOOOVE my MINI's sound now!! I just have to deal with the upstream O2 sensor throwing codes now... Ughhhhh...

Not shown in the picture though is that the hardware to bolt up to the cat IS included. Also, purchase NEW dogbone hangers and the 2 special hangers. I bought the original muffler strap that had 2 of these special hangers for $50!! The 2 midcar hangers should be in fine condition.

I have the Borla Sport, don't know if that's the same as the (Race) exhaust , but it looks the same. I love the way it sounds, it's not as loud as you think, won't wake up the neighborhood. The best way I can describe the sound is DEEP and ANGRY . I purchased mine here new from a NAM member. Good luck with your sale

There are 3 levels of exhaust that Borla makes, ATAK, S-Type, and Touring.
ATAK was NOT available for the MINIs. That exhaust basically sounds like straight pipes, L.O.U.D.
