Available is the RMW Dominator Cam that I bought from another NAM member. Never installed this because I decided not to go beyond bolt-on mods. Here is the description for RMW:

Street/track Cam for the R53 MINI. More aggressive profile than the stock cam. Must have for the weekend warrior. 250 deg duration and .400 lift. More aggressive mid-range. Needs a tune, works exceptionally good with the RMW shorty header. Will provide peak torque with the header at 4600rpms and paired with RMW Big Valve Head is good to 7800rpms

I have one and IMO the car revs quicker based on swapping drives with my friend that has a R53.

Big thing to check when installing is that the lobes do not hit the spark plug tubes. I dinged mine and then ground down a socket to fit in the tube. Better safe than sorry.

 

Good to see someone PM'ed so one less temptation for me. I am surprised it took this long.

 

 

Any idea what a tune would cost to run this cam?

 

Depends on whether you have a nearby tuner or have to it over the net. Jan at Revolution Motor Works is a vendor here and does over the net tunes. Takes a little longer as you have to send files back and forth but it worked for me.

 

I recently had this cam installed along with a tune..biggest night and day differences I’ve felt in a mod. Probably more than the 15% pulley. Good luck with the sale
