sometimes a product link is helpful for reference:
Finding a (CURRENT) web presence for Texas Speed Works is a bit of a challenge,
They used to be: http://www.txwerks.com/

seems like all roads like to lead to:
http://www.waymotorworks.com/tsw-texas-speedwerks/

"In July of 2010 Way Motor Works bought the company out including designs, jigs, inventory, complete product line."

here are two commonly found resources:

http://www.waymotorworks.com/tsw-eng...6-r50-r53.html

installation guide:
http://www.billswebspace.com/MINI_Co...stallation.pdf

What is the increased NVH with this product? Is anyone using one currently that could chime in?

It does cause more nvh. You are going from a oil filled mount to a solid mount. I like it, gave the car a moe sporty feel.

How many miles was it on your car? Is there a normal threshold before the stock mounts give out? My Cooper S has 65K on it. Always trying to look ahead to avoid problems.

It was on my car about 20,000. I had 2 stock motor mounts leak oil in 70,000.

Since this is a solid mount I assume there is no failure rate on these? I don't track my Mini, at least I haven't yet, but I do like some aggressive daily driving from time to time. The NVH won't be unbearable in this for DD will it? I apologize for all the questions, and I do greatly appreciate you answering them. Limited budget makes part shopping a hassle sometimes lol.

I have never heard of one failing, but maybe contact way motor works, he sells them new and may know if any have failed. My mini was my dd and it didn't bother me. But nvh acceptable to one may not be acceptable to another. I liked it.

I should note that I am more than likely going to be purchasing a BSH lower mount as well. Any experience with both installed?

I don't have the bsh but I have the poly inserts in the stock mount. So it probably fairly similar as far as nvh

i have the motor mount and it did increase nvh in conjunction with the powerflex bushings used in the other mounts. The last one I did was the lower with the power flex bushings and that actually seemed to reduce the nvh slightly and really seemed to firm things up. I changed my mounts because the engine had sagged almost 1/2 inch as everything aged. I have an 04 cooper with about 155K miles

I currently have TSW upper, BSH lower, PowerFlex gearbox mount, and my own custom polyurethane-caulking-filled top mount (exclusive to 02-04).

There is a LOT of NVH. But it drives great. The motor doesn't move at all, so you don't have to wait for the motor to settle before you slam into the next gear. I could take a video for you tonight when I get home if you'd like!

If you shift hard, near redline, and you shift quick, you'll notice a huge difference. If your MINI isn't trashed like mine, and you baby it, you'll probably be annoyed that your car is pretending to be a jackhammer.
