Okay, ever since I got my first MINI ive wanted to do this drive, especially with all the hype behind it. If you know nothing about Hawks Nest Road, its a famous windy road in upstate new york and boarders PA. A lot of car commercials are shot on this road and its just famous for being extremely fun, esp for MINIs since we handle nicely !!! With that said, I am going to plan a run at the end of April.

I am going to take the drive in early march either this weekend or next and finalize and make this A LOT more specific with dates, times, meeting places, and possibly a little lunch stop. Just want to get an idea of how many people will be making the trip ... check back in a couple of weeks for specific but as of now here is the map and i just want to give people a heads up on this event that will be occurring !!

Steve, I cant make this weekend as theres a bear mtn run if weather is good and I also have a work function later on in the day. I can commit to the following weekend. Work for you ????

I say we go a bit earlier in the day when its not crowded so we can take advantage of our MINIs at full speed without worrying about bikers or other cars !!

 

I've never taken this road! I want in... Actually, can you post more info about the practice run this weekend? April is always very busy for me, so this may be a unique chance for me.

yeah I know but I have a work function this weekend and she said its invite only and a lot of these guys werent. So this run is still going to happen, especially since Ive never been and been wanting to tackle this for a long time!!

As far as the practice run, ill let ya posted. Its going to be next sunday and if next sunday is nice id like to do it early in the AM so we can hit the roads kind of aggressively and not have to worry about it being a busy road up there... I might have to cap the practice run LMAOO... cant wait for this official run !!!!
