Problems at home while at the Dragon...

I enjoyed Thurs and Fri at the Dragon. It was great to see everyone and thought our club was very well represented.

Unfortunately, when I returned to my cabin Friday @ 10:00pm, my wife was desperately trying to get in touch with me since there was no cell service in Fontana. The bad news she had for me was that our house was broken into during the day while she was at work. Thankfully, not alot of damage was done or items taken. It always makes you feel like your privacy has been invaded. Many closets and drawers were upside down but not much missing. My children and wife were upset so I headed home at 10:30pm and made it back @ 2:30am. So you can say I had my own Midnight Run out of the Dragon! Sorry I missed you guys the next morning and didn't get a chance to say goodbye.

The other eventful thing I brought back from the Dragon was a terrible cold. I'll be staying home Monday to recoup and to have a Brinks security system installed....should have done this a long time ago.

Wow, George!!

So sorry to hear that. Not a good way to end a MINI weekend early.
It does take a while to recover your sense of security. I'm glad you headed on home to take care of your family. Hope all is sorted soon.

Aw, mininc! That is awful! We've been robbed twice and it is an incredible feeling of violation. Sorry about the troubles....take care and see you next year at The Dragon!

That is sad news, indeed! Getting the cold was kind of like adding insult to injury!! Hope it all works out.

Ouch.. What a note for having to leave a good time!! I'm glad everyone's OK, but to get back to Charlotte in 4 hours, you must have been flying!! (It's about time you drove the Blingmobile right!!) It took me 2 1/2 to get home on Saturday evening..

Very sorry to hear that kind of news. When the no good rat bas$&%s are caught they should have their fingernails torn off. I hope that you and your familys feelings of safety and security return quickly.

Sierra mentioned this to me while at the Dragon - I was shocked! We're really sorry this happened to you and your family. It's probably one of the worst feelings having had this done to me as well.

The security system should help you feel safe and secure again sooner!

Sorry to hear that George. I think the best thing I did was get my alarm after getting held up. I have CPI and they are wonderful, especially when I don't think about it and set it off! Oops! Hope they find the evil culprits!!!! I know it must suck...at least no one was home and got hurt. What happened to me sucked and I would hate to see anyone else go through it! You all are okay and that is the main thing!

Thanks for all the nice comments.

It has only been a week and life is back to normal. My new computer is up and running. I ordered it from Dell last Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday.
I now have an alarm system at home and I received my check from Nationwide on Friday.

Thanks again for all your thoughts and concerns.
George
