Christmas on my dashboard

So I'm driving home, going with the flow at a modest 50 mph, when all of a sudden it's Christmas on my dashboard - the flat tire monitor, DSC and ABS lights all come on. Anyone ever have this happen? What's the dealy-o?

Well I've had the 2 Airbag lights, Tire press sensor the ASC light, the SES light cruise control and highbeam lights on all at once (and the brake light came on when I parked in the garage.

I had a flat, O2 sensor issue, faulty airbag weight srnsor, shut off my ASC (habbit). I'd check the pressures and make sure you have tight connections under the bonnet, then give the dealer a call and get an appointment and let'em know whats up. As long as nothing is flashing you should have rougly 50 miles to get there. Do you have any driving symptoms or just lights?

Try checking your tire sensors... When I broke mine I had a similar problem....

Good luck!

It was the left front sensor that gave me Christmas in May. It was the last straw, trading my 03 MCS for an 06 MCS.

My 66 MCS had far less electrical troubles. Something to be said for simplicity and Lucas electrics.

Good luck!

No driving issues, no other symptoms at all. I checked the air pressures, they are all fine. Guess I'll be visiting the dealer.

I called my MA this morning (he's awesome) and told him the story, "sounds like you've got a bad wheel speed sensor" was the first thing out of his mouth. Bad news is, I can't get in until next Tuesday. I told him I am AX this weekend, would it be a problem (he sometimes comes out and AX with us, and it has NEVER been an issue with getting warranty work done - I told you he was awesome), he says no problem, but the ABS and DSC may not work correctly. I always turn DSC off anyway, no ABS will be a learning experience!

As posted in my second thread, I did my entire 2nd day at Driving School with no ABS. I actually preferred it and wish there was a way to switch it off at will like the DSC!

OK, just got back from the dealer (they always have great coffee there) anyway, the right front wheel sensor was cut clean in half. There was evidence of some rubbing on the sensor wire, but the wire itself - which is a pretty heavy gauge - was cut clean in two. They showed me where the cut was in relation to where it was mounted and we cannot figure out how it happened. The nearest moving part is the serpentine belt, but it's a good 3-4 inches away and if there was that much play in the belt I would be having all sorts of problems.

Anyone else with a similar situation? Is it foul play? Is my cover as a deep, deep, deep undercover agent blown and they are on to me?

OK. I said it was the left wheel sensor in a previous post. It was on mine. They said it was faulty, but it happened a week after they did a state inspection and rotated the tires. I am convinced the dealer inadvertenly messed with something. Did you notice the flat tire light come on a bit before the full blown "Christmas Effect"?

Good luck!

Red
