Is this a good deal?

Thinking about taking a look at this car this weekend. Anybody recognize it, or can comment on if this a fair deal? I am going in thinking that 21k out the door would be good. What do you think? Also, anybody know why on the front bumper, the little circle to the left of the lic. plate is not color matched? Thanks for any input! Oh, and is the mini next warranty worth going with this car over another mini that was not certified?

Thanks again!

The JCW aero kit is not properly colormatched to the existing Pepper White on the vehicle.
Notice the significant color difference on the rear fascia to the hatch.

Perhaps the previous owner used the tow-hook location to run a "platipus" license plate mount.
The gray insert is nothing more than a primered filler plug that hasn't been painted.

Thank you for the comment! As far as the color matching...do you think it could be the lighting? The sides and the front seem to match well. I would have to drive 4 hours to see this vehicle. It would really be a pisser if the color of the aero kit and the rest of the car did not match.

To me, that looks like a poor mismatched paint job.
The tone should be the same even when the bumper angle is the same as the hatch (in terms of shadows) and it appears not to do such.

I see what bluefox is saying wrt the rear hatch. The main thing is the examine it in person. Pictures are tough to see fine details.

I think your price is ok, would like it if it was perhaps $20.5 k

Also I like the fact that it is dealer certified with the extended warranty. Generally means a better car that has passed more testing. And ask about accidents and bodywork.

Pull the VIN and grab a print-out of the build spec from a MINI dealer.

I don't see the problem with mismatch of colors it looks good (its all matches to me). Anyway I think the price is a bit on the high side for a 2009 model. If you look down they're advertising two 2011 models for $19k (non-s) and $22k (s). Unless this was a modified model I wouldn't pay over $15k maybe $18k, but it does not really seem that way (other than JCW aero kit). Unless you can get them to drop the price I'd hold on to your money. A plus is that for a used car it has decent mileage on it. For almost being $21K you could buy a new one.

What are you smoking? It's a low mileage S with an auto, (not my cup of tea, but some people need an auto), with a factory warranty for 6 years or 100k miles, and the aero kit. You couldn't touch a new S auto for less than say 26k...

It does look at the tweet in the a-pillar it completes the 3-way front stage (meaning it has the Hi-Fi)

What are you smoking? That is clearly a 6-spd if we are talking about the car the OP wants to buy, if not I am smoking lol.

It's is a manual if you look at the pics. Cannot always trust what the ad says.

I would think you would not want to pay $6000 OVER asking as the new asking price is now below $20k. It still has a click it to get an lower ePrice.

So the 18k range is certainly possible.

Good choice in my opinion! Good price and decent on the mileage but the aero kit sells me for sure. Good luck dude!

Looks like a nice car. I agree that it looks like it has the Hi-fi. The 16" wheels tell me it is does not have the factory sport suspension, nor does it have heated seats or automatic air. It does not appear to have a sunroof, nor is there any description of any other upgrades (JCW suspension, engine or suspension mods). I can't tell if it has the bluetooth/usb option.

I paid $15k for my 2009 with 49k on it, sunroof, premium package, and automatic. My car is not a prime example (had a collision on the carfax, lots of paint chips). I figure that the aero kit is worth $2k resale. I think it would be a great deal at $18k, and a solid buy at $19k. Test drive will tell you for sure.

Mike

Sorry, my bad about the auto tranny...

But are you all getting that the car is CPO, (MINI next, warranty for 6 years 100K miles?)

Pretty high price!

The price is a little on the high side. I paid $18,500 for my 2009 Pepper white cooper S. It only had 20,000 miles on the car when I got it and it is fully loaded.
You can definitely talk the price down a little bit. Nice car, but a little high on the price.
