Sad day....my four day old MCS got smacked

Greetings fellow cyber MINI friends...

Sad news today...my four day old MCS got smacked while I was waiting in traffic. By the time I noticed what was about to happen, it was to late to honk the horn and I was unable to maneuver out of the way because there was cars in front, behind and beside me.

I just had the Hamann installed. And now one of it is damage as well.

Someone from the insurance is coming tomorrow and I am going to demand that they replace the Hamann as well, in addition to replacing the driver side door and side panel.

Honestly...I am still speechless because I was planning on going a road trip shortly...and now this.

I empathize for you b/c that is a horrible thing to happen to anyone, let alone a new mini owner. I hope that throughout this situation that everything goes smoothly.

Bummer! Ours goes to the body shop on Monday.

I don't know about you, but that was the sickest feeling I have had in a long time. I didn't have any escape routes.
Sucks to be a sitting duck.

Best wishes for a happy recovery.

Very sorry to hear it, that stinks.
I really don't like that we've had a number of these in recent weeks.
On the other hand, let's be very greatful they've been minor bang ups.

That truly does suck. Four days, might be a new record... the kind you don't want to hold.

I have my reading glasses on... I look at photos of cars involved in accidents as part of my job... and I'm having trouble seeing the damage (maybe it's all that SHINE in the pics).

Having your stereo replaced due to that accident ? You mean just the speaker in the door, I guess.

Edit: I think I see the damage now... that dent just above the front wheel trim. Okay... how did that damage your stereo ??

I would guess that those are not the accident pics. Because he said that it was the driver side.

That might explain why I had a hard time seeing it ! And that "dent" I thought I finally found must be a shadow.

Okay... at least I know it's my reading skills and not my vision that are deteriorating.

Dude... if you're going to post about the accident, show pics of the damage !

Sorry to hear this!

Very nice MINI you have there indeed. I have a set of Hamann HM4 waiting for my R56 to arrive as well! After seeing your pics, I know I made the right decision!

Hope everything works out fine for you.
Good Luck.

I'm sooo very sorry to hear about your poor MINI. But at least you are still here to tell the tale.

I think some of the picture confusion is that the pictures people are looking at are in your signature. The links you put in your post is to pictures on your PC... they need to be uploaded somewhere in order to paste a link into a post (or you can use the attachment function).
