Found some more SIKUs today (not many though). Update on available models after shipping out today's packages:

2 of the Polizei models
2 of teh red cabrios
3 of the Follow Me models
4 of the black w/ Union Jack on the roof
2 of the gold models
3 of the green w/ white roof

...and 1 "Fast Lane" brand 2-Pack (blue and red--both w/ a white roof)--more at teh local "Toys r Us" but not a lot of demand for these I think.

Still have 1 of the Matchbox "Stars of Cars" Black w/ grey trim on the bottom (left side of the pic)

Also found a couple more "Dickie" brand 1:24 Polizei models at one of the local KinderLand stores--silver with green stripe down the side and a light bar on top. It's one of the ones that you pull back and it rolls foward on its own friction motor. I'll post pics tonight... have 2 to sell/trade.

I have been looking for a source to buy inexpensive MINI models in quantities. Sunshine MINIs did two holiday parades this year and we handed out candy. But I really wanted to find some cheap 1:64 or smaller MINIs to give to the kids but couldn't find anything affordable. I may pursue the Yat Mings for that next year.

Anyway, while I was looking I came across some other things and a supplier recently quoted me prices. Some of these things might interest all of you so here's what I found. If you're interested I can organize a group buy. These things would make great gifts for kids or for your MINI friends. Prices quoted are without tax (if they charge it) or shipping.

This is a 1:32 scale New Ray model with infrared remote control. You use a watch to control it. I have one of these (Smokey too I think) and it's pretty cool! It has push-button start and buttons for horn and alarm on the watch. Also comes with parts to make it a free-rolling model. Yellow only. $8 each

These are Kinsmart 1:36 die cast motorized pull backs. They come in the colors shown. $24 per dozen. $22 per dozen if I order a case of 12 dozen.

These are 1:24 free-rolling from an unknown manufacturer in the colors shown. Packaged six cars to a box, they are $36 a dozen (two boxes).

Let me know if any of you are interested and I'll coordinate.

You can get them on ebay pretty much all the time. I can't get them from that supplier unless I order a quantity.

There's one on ebay now:

...and one of these 1:87 "Happy Digit" Shuco's too! Gotta consolidate all these posts!

Kind of reluctant to let this spare go and want to trade it for something special like any of the 1:43 country models (in order of preference: America, England, EU, Japan, China, Italy)... I have a mail order source for these for 7 Euro each from an ad in the latest German version of Mini Scene International magazine but can't seem to find 'em on line.

1 of these 1:87 "Happy Digit" Shuco's that I'll only trade for something equally as cool/rare.

91Eunos,

I have never seen the brand Schuco before. The Happy Digit is fantastic and would love to have in my collection just not sure I have anything you would want to trade for.

Yeah,

I was lucky to find 2 of them at the same time at a store that specializes in scale railroad models, etc. over here...haven't found any more since.

Really trying to find either the old Morris Mini w/ the trailer/camper or the train w/ the load of Minis (or the aforementioned "country" car models).

Are you talking about this train?

TRAIN

And ToyEast has the MINI Country series in stock. Just do a MINI Cooper search.

ToyEast

Also, have you seen the nesting MINIs at ToyEast?

Nesting MINIs

Also interested in the gold Maisto 1:18 and the Cool Blue 1:24 Maisto, especially if it really is Cool Blue. I have a friend with a Cool Blue S Cabrio and I haven't been able to find anything close to that for him.

I don't have any 1:18 scale to trade though. Right now alll I do have is one of the new CR/CR Matchbox 1:64, one of the new Hot Wheels Pop Offs (Classic) and several 1:72 Yat Mings in CR/B and EB/W.

that's the one.

Cool!

It would go well with this one I picked up last year. I forgot the story behind it, but something to do with the launch of the MINI and a club having a few done up as prizes down in Australia.

Unfortunately I don't have much of anything MINI to trade. My collection pales in comparison to what you guys have. Now if we were talking overall diecast cars/toys collection... Let's just say my wife let me have my own room in our house so she doesn't have to look at my stuff

But if you'd be willing to sell a couple of the Yat Mings MINI_Bee, I'd be more than happy to buy 'em.

91 Eunos, let me know if you find a couple of those trains for a decent price! I've been looking for that train myself(check post 524 on page 21 of this thread), unfortunately I can't afford it right now. That train would look good in my display case next to my N scale ICE and ICE-T. (I also have the ICE-V and ICE-3 in Z scale in a different case. Is there a pattern here?)

Those trains were released as limited production (750 of the N scale) in 2004. There was also a Z Scale(1:220) version by Marklin. Last time I checked, the trains were sold out, but you can still get the locomotive several places. The locomotive alone was also available in N scale (1:160) by MiniTrix, which is part of Marklin. Not sure if it was made in HO scale (1:87), but I think it was.

That's the one... didn't realize it was that expensive! Of course even though that's = to 2 track tires it's not likely to get any cheaper. <moral dilema ensues>

The case is 42" wide x 16" high with siding plexiglass doors. I have a second (identical) case that is stored away right now, and more than enough locomotives/trains to fill both-and a couple more-cases completely. I got them at a model railroad show many years ago for around $45 each. I have since found essentially the same cases selling for $150.00. Glad I got mine when I did!

Evening all,

After a few hours of searching online I was able to find the "Happy Digits" MINI Cooper as well as a few others.

Check out the site below. They have a really nice selection and shipping wasnt too bad. I picked up a few models myself.
