LOL...Sorry bout that one, just hope they get scholarships.
I called and spoke the owner of the company this morning and he is working on trying to get the 1:55 MINI Collection MINI Cooper Tuners. He's a fellow MINI owner.

Hello Everyone,
I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping you fellow collectors might be able to shed some light on.
1. I'm finding as my collection grows its harder to keep track of what I have. Does anyone know of a solution that I could use to track my collection?
2. Are there clam shell protector packs for the Matchbox Superfast cars? I keep most of finds in their original package. I have clam shells for my Hotwheels and Johnny Lightning's.
Thanks in advance.
Bob

You could create your own inventory program on your computer with descriptions of your items and quantities or purchase a commercial program aimed toward collectors. I have one from www.tayden.com that I use for my model railroad collection. They used to have a couple of programs for collections other than model railroad. There used to be some others, but I don't remember the company names.
here you go.

Bobbie,
Thanks for the info. Wouldnt it be my luck that the program is Windows only and I use a Mac. I may try to do something in Filemaker just not much of a programmer.

I do have the colored check mark system with the cross reference to 3x5 cards with pictures I drew........... BTW, I'm an excellent drawer!
I was using accounting spreadsheets with my model railroad stuff until I found Tayden's program. I moved everything onto the computer in one night, and found I'm much better at keeping the inventory updated now.
Whew, I don't check this thread for a couple days and I fall way behind!! OK, here we go...
Yes, as sad as it sounds, that was actually a requirement when we were house hunting. I have so many toys that I needed a room of my own to display/store them all! But it didn't come without a caveat - my stuff isn't allowed to bleed out of the room, and I can only have what can fit in the room. In other words, I'm not allowed to store anything in our walk up attic (when we first saw the attic, the first words out of my wife's mouth were "You're not allowed to put any toys up here!"
). I will eventually get around to snapping some pics of it...
You people are going to put me in the poor house...
I love it!! Lookin' forward to it showing up in the mail.
Awesome. Those Tuners are pretty sharp - my next additions, I think.
Bob, as far as I know, unfortunately there are no clamshells that the Superfasts will fit in.

After a few hours of searching online I was able to find the "Happy Digits" MINI Cooper as well as a few others.
Check out the site below. They have a really nice selection and shipping wasnt too bad. I picked up a few models myself.

1 "Fast Lane" brand 2-Pack (blue and red--both w/ a white roof)--more at teh local "Toys r Us" but not a lot of demand for these I think.

1 "Dickie" brand 1:24 Polizei models
Trying to find variations of the gold and the green/white cars; several versions w/ the same model # froom SIKU. Found 1 in yellow/black and saw another one advertised that said blue/white but haven't found one yet.

Eunos, I have more than 1 left of the Hero Cities, so you get them. I now also have 1 spare of the current Superfast Green/W MCS, and a bunch of the white HotWheels Pop-Offs classic Minis if anyone needs them.
I also have a bunch of the various versions of the Hotwheels Black/White MC and 7 of the new Hotwheels white "Pop off" classic Mini.
Turcicus,
I have a friend that is collecting the "Cars" diecast but cant find Chick or the King. Do you have any extras?

Seems like a visual inventory would be better for this, with embedded information in the IPTC headers of your digital JPEG files. There are lots of free and inexpensive programs for PC and Mac that will write data to the IPTC headers, and lots of free photo browser programs too.
I gather most of you plan to keep your collections in the boxes? I'm a member of the LTMB club. Let the MINIs Breathe!

Count me in! I thought I was the only one who felt they needed to be "released". Something about keeping 'MINIs in a box' that was just wrong.
MINI_Bee, I really like that LY Hot Wheels MINI.
MINI_Bee,
I do indeed keep the majority of my MINI's in their package. I like to think that I'm keeping them safe from prying little hands.
I have a friend who is a Filemaker programmer who is writing a database to help keep track of my diecast collection. I wasnt able to find a Mac solution. He just finished rev one and it looks great. It would be nice if we could scan the upc code and have the database do a lookup on the web and download the info from Hotwheels, Matchbox, etc.
The time consuming part will be taking pictures of the individual cars.

For my train collection, I often use the pics from the manufacturer website. They take better pics than I do.
miniman007, there used to be a free UPC scanner you could hook up to your computer and when used would automatically take you to the website for that item, which would help with the pics, etc for your inventory. Unfortunately I think it also was keeping track of what you scanned, etc. Guess you get what you pay for.
