I received it in a package with other "cute" MINI things... It was from MINI Canada...

There was also a smal sign that you would show when doing something "stupid" on the road... It was written "Sorry, My MINI made me do it" lol

Anyone interested in some Italian Job Second Unit hats??

There's a seller over on eBay that had 15 of them this am, she's changed her pricing a little (look at her completed sales) but by my count she should have about 8 more.

Hat's on Ebay

Nice story behind them

It's been WAY too quiet in here lately...

Just thought I would let you all know that the OCTOBER issue of Car & Driver has the latest "Secret Decoder" ad on page 71...

I picked this up at a MINI dealer in China earlier this year. It looks like a very early brochure, the label on the back says it was printed in Germany 2001.

It also has a very cool pull out that you can look at the different body colors through.

Some great photography and design in this book. It must have cost a fortune to print and bind.

I have that booklet, it's very well done.

The latest Dwell magazine has the next postcard in the series, it is the Farnsworth House.

I did 7 legs of MINI Takes the States and I got lots of MTTS stuff:
1. Giant Atlas
2. Motoring Soundtrack CD
3. Antenna Flag
4. Can cooler
5. Rubber Keychain
6. Grille Badge
7. Poster

I didn't buy the metal MTTS keychain or the other things. But they are supposed to be offered for sale online soon.

Have ya ever been sheopping with the better half and ended up in a Christmas shop?

You're there, what are you gonna do? I embarked on a mission and found this...

Matchbox size, brass, well made, plastic diamonds as driver and passenger doors, sun and moon roof, and the boot...six plastic diamonds in the 2 headlamps and 4 rally lights...yes, more class/bling for the tree!

Anyone else have one of these shiny bejeweled ornaments?

That's about the worst Mini collectible I have seen. I won't be buying one because you aren't supposed to decorate your Festivus pole.

The fifth and final modern postcard "Fallingwater" is available in the November 2006 issue of Dwell magazine between pages 148 & 149. Bonus: in the same issue is a MINI/Meals on Wheels ad on page 149.

A new ad in the November 2006 issue of Automobile magazine, page 55:

A MINI GIFT TO BIG CARS:
EXTRA GAS MONEY.
Driving around town with extra trunk space? More like extra gold bullion! Ease pump pains by that unused area into prime real estate. Perfect for students or aspiring actors. You cruise easy street while your tenant sleeps, eats, or entertains that special lady friend (whoa there missy, no peeking). Sublease your way to affording a tank of gas, lickety-split. BIG CARS, WE FEEL YOUR PAIN.

Scans coming soon.

Thanks James.
I wonder when the next "secret" installment will show up (or have I missed it!)?

I haven't seen the third decoder ad, yet.

Here are the five modern postcards from Dwell magazine:

The LET'S LEAVE PLENTY OF ROOM FOR OTHERS. series (so far):

Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and Meals on Wheels.
(Not pictured: The Nature Conservancy)

I added a scan for the new A MINI GIFT TO BIG CARS ad I listed above:

Wow - haven't seen or heard of those other 3 ads - Big Brother, etc. Where can those be found or is it too late already?

LET'S LEAVE PLENTY OF ROOM FOR OTHERS. (Big Brothers Big Sisters)

  • Men's Health. September 2006. (page 69)
LET'S LEAVE PLENTY OF ROOM FOR OTHERS. (Habitat for Humanity)
