I would think that there might be some ads coming soon in the Jan and Feb issues of magazines as there really haven't been many since Nov. Please keep your eagle eye posted for the next ad-NY'er?, Smithsonian? they're usually good for a few!

 

MINI Convertible ad, to be found in February 2005 issue of Cycle World pages 38-39. It was in my dad's subscription copy, but it's a paper ad so I am assuming it will be in all of them.

I do have this ad listed from Business 2.0. Vol. 5, No. 9. October 2004. (pages 12 & 13). But I will also add the Cycle World source. Thanks!

I have all three convertible posters already. This one, the one with the PS convert and the History of the go kart poster. I have the last one framed and hung in my room at the moment. Time to rotate them soon though!

 

Just an update-a BIG, Fat, NOTHING in the February issue of MAXIM!!! NO ad ! NO insert! Nothing!!! What is going on? Too much of a good thing in November?

 

And no ad in the Jan. 27th issue of Rolling Stone!!! Has anyone seen any thing in the New Yorker? I would have figured that they might have had something by now!

 

I checked The New Yorker for January 3 and January 10. Nothing.

Edit: Car and Driver (Feb 05) does not have any ads. It has an article, though, on a 'MINI Tec Vtec MINI'.

Motor Trend (Feb 05) has a comparo including the MINI. No ads.

Newstand copy or subscription copy?

 

Good question, Meg!!! And yes I am happy! I'll be off tomorrow morning to look at the newstand issue and will be dissappointed if it isn't!!!

And Feb. '05 issue of Outside Magazine has the Ghandi bumper sticker ad on page 33-newstand issue!

Maybe February is the month for ads?!!!

 

I didn't know there was a difference. If it isn't in the newstand edition, pm me and I'll send the magazine to you.

 

Thanks for the offer, swingmcs03!! I was able to find it in the newstand issue. Most MINI ads that are single page ads as part of the magazine are in the newstand issues. The MINI insert ads that are between the magazine pages are in the subscription issues.

I found it interesting that the ad was dated 2004 so maybe its not the first time this ad has appeared in a magazine. Maybe it came out when the other two bumper sticker ads were out- anyone know anything about this?

 

I opicked up both bumper sticker ads yesterday. I have no idea who to give Outside to now, as I don't read it. Thanks for the info

I think I've seen this ad before but can't recall when, where or what magazine. Sorry. I looked through all the old mags I've kept (only a handful) but no ads in any of them for the MINI. The mags I've kept all have MINI articles in them, though. FWIW.

At some point you may want to work on making a list of your articles about the MINI. James is working on a MINI library and he might not have something listed that you have-

In National Geographic (I am waiting to find out which issue) there is a spread of a LY MINI that shows where all the parts came from. I will keep you posted.

Anyone know anything about an article about MINI in the Jan 17th issue of TIME magazine????

 

MINI ad (of pepper white MC with aero kit, checks on mirrors and top) on pages 40-41, dated 2004. Shows a series of 4 computers (getting smaller) and then the MINI. Hope this helps.
