The same MINI Takes the States ad from Rolling Stone is also in the August 2006 issue of Automobile on page 11. In a size to fit in a binder page.

Hello fellow collectors!

Greater Gotham MINI Motoring School patches. . .

Only problem is you have to visit the dealership with a certificate to get them. Good thing I have a buddy who picked these two up for me.

Yay!!

I read on MotoringFile that all MINI owners would be getting a special surprise...And I got mine in the mail today!

I took some photos of the goods. (Hopefully the link works!)

One of the items decodes the ad in the August 2006 issue of Maxim (page 85). So only MINI owners are going to be able to read the hidden message in the ad!

My brother-in-law gets ESPN The Magazine and says there is a "Quarantine Kit for MINI Enthusiasts" in the recent issue. I hope to get a photo of the ad soon but have no time to go pick it up.

This is the latest "Modernism" ad in Dwell Magazine, September 2006. This is the third of five ads about wonders of the modern world, and highlights the Chinati Foudation art gallery in Marfa, Texas. It also discusses the Marfa "mystery lights" in the west Texas desert. Here's a sample paragraph from the back of the ad:

"Art installations. Bizarre phenomena. Texas. Where could you go wrong? So cop a squat in a sport seat, grip the leather steering wheel and motor over to Marfa."

Can you tell me which issue/month? I looked at one in the store the other day and didn't see the ad...darn it....I'm wondering if it's just subscription issues...

Anybody seen this ad in any other magazine!

Yup, it's in either the July or August edition of Wired.

Not sure if this counts as a "collectible" or not - but it's really very nice

Very cool - the "MINI on Delivery" must be something the dealer made up?

Ian, you must spill it. Where did you get that book about the MINI Concept?

I was in Canada last weekend and picked up a few brochures on MINI gear, but not on the MINIs themselves.

When I got home, someone from Sunshine MINIs had sent me his Black Box, so now I have an extra.

The book was on sale at the British Motorshow - money raised went to a UK charity.

Someone I regularly buy items from on eBay picked up a copy and sold it to me along with an eBay win (which was also from the Motorshow - a MINI USB stick)
