A MINI amongst a sunset (new pic I took)
you really need to figure out a way (your NAM gallery... hint hint) to post an image that is larger. You've got some great stuff here.
Honestly, I'm seriously jealous of the conditions and you've definitely taken advantage of it.
Keep it up!
Dave
Just a quicky:
:impatient Between soccer practice and making dinner, I took these.

This is Old Black Canyon Highway, as in the undeveloped original stretch.

A hint of rainbow.

Okay Dave, here is the 'full size' of the downsized file (600 x 800). I'm just getting an idea going for this month's contest. This was sorta like text messaging while driving.

I was getting the hang of looking in the mirror at the camera screen while holding the camera upside down. Okay, which way to move thata way?:impatient

*test* 800 x 600 (full size) version.

Your test photos at 800x600 pixel size are much better Kurt, thank you!
I dig the stamp!
I'm trying to be polite to anyone who has a slow connection/computer. I think the good shots I'll post large, the lame ones smaller.
Unlike many other states, Arizona has many dirt roads. Of course it's now raining, so don't expect to get any good dust roostertails for awhile.
I do like the stamp.
A Flickr friend had fun with this shot.

A yawner
Just to show I don't always get good shots.
This was after an appointment, just had to try.

Interesting how the camera elevation made a difference in exposure.

Just wasn't enough clouds nearby.

Looking good Kurt!
Read a tutorial on how to use Photoshop CS3 "Auto-Blend-Layers". It looked very simple, so I thought I'd try it to fix some sunset photos. Hmm, where to find some to practice with???
(five minute edit, the auto-blend layer is super easy to use)

every time I check this thread you get better and better Kurt. Some of those above are AWESOME!!!!
here's one I took just for you on my ride home from work today. It's nothing to special, just my little P&S camera w/o a tripod but it's an east Coast sunset in your honor
I wish I had had my better camera because the colors were so much more amazing then this.

Wow, some great photos here!
Scotland sunset:

Exposure on sunsets is tough -- get a good read on the car, and the sunset is too bright... Shot of just the sunset:

Where have I been?
I drop the ball here too, and someone sneaks in.
Been a while Stoopidgirl, that bigass camera take the fun out of it?
MINIxB: Nice try. Most people don't.
Mach V Dan: it makes a huge difference which direction you shoot, and the amount of colored clouds.
For instance, take tonights sunset:

Shooting east takes advantage of the sun's last light.

Shooting more south, the car is more in shadow.

And when I shoot more skyward, the exposure is dubious.

Shooting west sucks. I mean, look at all the clutter from signs and stuff. How annoying. Then with the profiles, really bad. Can hardly tell what color the car is. Not really worth showin' anyone.

Obligiatory sunset only shots.

Last night's, not worth getting Swifty involved.

Yesterday's sunrise.

She is right Kurt! I started reading this thread at the beginning yesterday and made it to early 2006 but decided to jump to the end today. Wow!!! We do have the sunsets here in AZ!
