Something was missing, so to get this shot into the spirit of this thread, I present my 2 minute edit. It helps to make it smaller. Thanks for contributing to the thread xkot! I like the uncluttered setting.
. . . get this shot into the spirit of this thread . . .
I'm trying to catch up here and taking notice of all the cool pics posted. I'm envious. I need to get out with MINI folk a bit more so I can contribute.

BTW Kurt, are you sure that was a whole 2 minutes of editing? Looks closer to 30 seconds.

Yes, please do. I'm hoping during the summer recess you'll have more time and we'll have the privelege of seeing more of your photos.

Define "manual photography"? For example, all I've done below is make it look like you've used velvia film (better saturation and lower film grain) and some Cokin filters. The only edits I've done to your original photo is removing some trash and a strange streak in the sky. Everything else was done with conventional darkroom developing techniques, only in a digital domain. All adjustments were made manually and masks were manually created; would you still call this destruction? IMHO photoshop is simply a modern day darkroom and just like the wet darkrooms of yesteryears, amazing things can come out of them, but there can also be horrifically bad results too. Never fear new tools for they are only tools. [Enough ranting, I'm off my soapbox and I'll shut up now. ]
This is my artistic interpretation of your photo FWIW.

Hey not all of us are as speedy as you

The digital Relam can be very much tradional as Speednuit pointed out, and much of the editing is something that would be done in the darkroom making no different than the tradional approach. However Digital also holds the capapbility of being far more precise with those tradional techniques as well as the ability to expand to various formats (much easier to go true panaramic with some measuring; not to mention realistic HDRs) Digital is just as pure as film, as well as being a more dynamic medium.[Enough ranting, I'm off my soapbox and I'll shut up now. ]
A little something I just took off the cuff during or clubs monthly MINI Monday Custard run. For you "purists" out there - no photochomping on this one .
Please let me know what you think...

Mmm, frozen custard...
Well done with keeping the urban clutter almost completely out of the photo; always a challenge!

Excuse me... ALL I see is urban clutter.
MOE4me: I do like the extreme low angle, and the way your MINI looks like it's pushing into the frame.
Anyone want to see another one of my minute edits?

Not everyone lives out in the beautiful boonies Kurt.
No, please no more 30 second MS paint edits, I beg you!
In all fairness, the photo was obviously taken at dusk, so it is on thread's topic.
Well just trying my new cam again in different parts of the day this time and there is no better time than sunset... so, I hope you like the pictures I took
Nice photos ca$per. Would also have loved to see the same photos about an hour later when the clouds would have been lit up in orange/red. Please keep posting your photos as we're all enjoying them.

Thank you I will try new ones when the weather clears up and keep taking photos
