Zero post processing:

It's tough shooting against the light, I don't like how the sky is blown out. The sunset was marginal (for me) too.

An urban environment!?!? Are you feeling okay Kurt?

Remix of the first photo emailed to you.
The second photo can only be saved by using graduated ND filters or multiple exposures and some PS work. The best cameras in the world can't capture that high of a dynamic range in a single photo without filters on a single exposure. This previously posted photo is similar to yours (other than a strange car color ) and took 3 exposures to get all of the tonal range, then a little merge fun in PS.

If you read the thread You'll see the OP puts the original in, a simple parking lot sunset photo with a partially washed out sky.
Sunset:

Fooled me too. You call that a sunset? :impatient

speednut: yea, it looks okay. Forgot the stars though.

I've been wanting to try a new street nearby. Have to really really make sure the parking brake in on!

Since I washed and gooped the plastic, I attended a cruise in Prescott Valley.

Thanks for posting ImagoX! I love the window reflection.

I had a while to shoot some tonight. Drove around and around to get just over the hill.:impatient

And this is my attempt at Fakenchop:

And just the sunset, stupid mountain in the way.

This is looking down on "my" spot. Maybe if they keep the lot prices ridiculous, I will have "my" spot for awhile.

Stuck in the driveway

My daughter finally washed and vacuumed her car, so I was trapped.
I'm not thrilled about the sky, but was focused on getting enough flash on Swifty. I should paint the radiator black.

Another non-MINI shot:

Stumbled upon this on Flickr:

I think this was photochomped. Borrowed with permission. http://www.flickr.com/photos/45062237@N00/461142819/

Finally some action, but...

This is 1 of 3, the batteries died. I should have known that, I had the camera last. But NO! I had to almost blow the whole shot.
So rush back home, switch back (to the rechargables that last more than 1 minute). Also, someone dared to park in MY way so it was almost not worth it. Also tried post processing some to make it less of a disaster.

Taken from the back yard.

Sunset season is here!

The only thing missing was the tripod.

I better get my tripod back.

An amusing photochopped version of the MINI picture.

speednut having fun too:

And another...

Parked at a favorite spot.

No post processing. That's for speednut.

Just a tiny bit of post processing.

This needs help.

Off to bed.

And another:

I tried the "Dodge" tool to get Swifty to show up.

Just not enough power to light the car.

Not happy with this either.

Decent sunset.

Guess it was worth it.

I thought Nessy was a good reason to bump this thread.

5 in a row:

At a regular favorite spot.

Just did a little photochoppin' on this one.

Too dark a car... but I have an under-exposed car great sky shot.

I burned the sky on this too. I reparked Swifty to get the glow from the west and this glowing cloudbank to the east. Had to block out new house. Damn those people for building up here... blocking my background.

Good thing it hasn't sprinkled to spot the layer of dust on Swifty. Can you see the dusty furr spot on the bonnet from the cat?

Yet another sunset:

Old Black Canyon Highway, the dirt part. There was some lightning, but not worth waiting.

It's really rough because of no rain, no grading.:impatient

I kinda like this one best.

If it was raining, the sun would not be able to do this... so I'm enjoying while I can.
