Interpret that how you will, keeping in mind that the photos must be MINI related and that only one photo per member per month may be submitted.

does anyone have any idea what a candid car photo looks like? Is it like I'm walking down the street and this guy pops out the trashcan to point out that camera filming us across the street...???

It's hard to imagine a candid car photo without people also in the picture.

I'd imagine something like this picture I found on flickr would be candid:

Candid for MINIs could mean on the track, Where we all know they are naturally. hehe.

It might be just me. Ever since the show Candid Camera, I always think of candid photos being "Spy camera" shots or other things like that.

but after thinking about it a bit, I think that what they were going for were moments where you are driving along and spontaneously think, "WOW, That would be a good picture." So you stop, get out of the car, quickly frame up a shot and go about your business without all of the nit-picking and hundreds of shots to sift through for one perfect one.

I have a photo somewhere looking through a doorway at MINIs - that could count as candid. (But taken before this month, so I can't use it). Just if it helps out the ideas...

 

Remember folks, interpret the topic however you want. Just because the topic is Candid doesn't mean you need to hide in a bush next to your driveway waiting for your MINI to do something funny.

 

This would be much easier if Allen Funt was still alive...

Dang... and I got a candid photo from the 1st of the month.

Oh well... rules is rules.

 

Now you'll just have to go do another photo shoot before the 25th!

The rules just say "The photo must be MINI related". That still leaves a fair bit of scope.

thanks for some reason my samsung vibrant thinks 170 degrees is about right for a panorama LOL makes for some interesting shots
