High Sierra run, July 29th

This run will start out at the Park & Ride lot at Hwy 41 and road 2oo, the O'neils/Northfork turnoff.
We will meet there at 8:30am.
Approx. 20 miles north of Fresno. For those of you already up there, you can meet us at the Shell station, 12 miles up rd. 200, (Bass Fork Mini Mart).
Steve will then take us to his house, then off for a run through the Sierras. Approx. 4 hours. Make sure you have a full tank of fuel.
After the run a BBQ and fun.

$5.00 per person to pay for food. Bring your own beverages.

Thank you Chris and Steve for a wonderful day! Your home is lovely and your hospitality the best. It was a fun run even with car problems...they gave us a chance to get to know the group better. We may never be hungry again!

Thanks Chris and Steve for a great day. You are gracious hosts and we thank you for sharing your home with us. We enjoyed the food probably overendulging, but you are such great cooks we just couldn't stop. We are not going to eat again for a week. Well, maybe not that long. See you soon. Sandee and Ken

About halfway into the run Robert lost his clutch pedal. It appears something overheated because after it cooled down he could use it but he said it didn't feel right. Also my power steering went out but after about a minute it started working again and haven't had any problems since. Boy without power steering you sure have to use a lot of muscle for such a light car. Hope all is well in Michigan. Ken

Everything is fine in michigan, thanks.

Wow. I'm suprised you had that many problems... I hope robert's clutch isn;t shot... Also, i hope that power steering problem isn;t due to a failed fan.....

Robert is taking or towing his car to the dealer on Monday. Might just be a bad slave valve. Steve will check out the fan on the power steering next weekend. It possibly didn't kick in when it was suppose to causing the power steering to shut down. Also, Steve will have my strut bar by next weekend. You do remember the strut bar???

Ya. Its stil under my hood... :P

I guess the heat was just too much for some of the parts on the cars. I hope all goes well with the power steering system. That could be dangerous if it went out in an emergency situation.

Thank you, Chris and Steve for having us up to your home. The food and company was great! Even though the cars acted up, it didn't ruin the day. Roads were in good condition with hairpin twisties, and not much other traffic. We had a nice cruise around the lake. Next time, I'll bring a camera.

Thank you Chris & Steve for opening up your beautiful house to us. Great BBQ put on by the two of you. Everything tasted great. The best was the homemade mini car cookies. The drive around the lake was a really nice enjoyable ride. Thanks again! See you soon. Nick & Shelly

Thank You Chris & Steve for a wonderful day!

Despite my mechanical problem I had a wonderful time.
You are gracious hosts and you rhome is beautiful.
Thanks you for sharing it with all of us.

The run was fun. I've never driven around bass lake before.
It was really interesting to see the entire lake and it's diversity.

The lap was fun except for the garbage truck.

I look forward to finishing the run next time.

See you all on the 11th of August at Burrito King.
