I want to Thank everyone for such a great day today. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did today. I hope we all learned alittle something about driving our great cars fast and hard.

Thought I'd better get more specific about what mods I'm running. Should have done it a long time ago. The picture is at the esses at Thunderhill and no I'm not about to get past.

Had a great weekend with you guys and gals. Looked to me that everyone learned alot about their cars and their own capablities. It is suprising what that little Mini can do isn't it. Again that was a blast!

This event is one of the best for learning since you get so much seat time. It's hard to get to know what your car will do in a normal autox when you get about five runs and maybe five minutes of seat time. It was lots of fun and it was great to see so many MINIs out there.

I had an absolute blast this weekend & I've been day-dreaming about autocrossing since we left the Fairgrounds last night. I've gotten over my apprehension about speed since the accident, am aware of the perimeter of my car & can anticipate exactly what's going to happen when I push the car in one wary or another. It was great to hang out with y'all & Cliff, Chet, Dr.Steve, C-Dub - thanks for the great advice on how to attack corners.

Niiice. You know what was crazy though was how fast a couple of the Miatas were. I'd still say Cliff was "the man" out there.

Thanks Joe. Those little squirt Maitas can be really neat and tidy on a slow slippery course. If I'd been a little slower and tidier myself I'd have been faster but it was fun throwing the car around like a getaway driver.

Hey guys!

The autocross was awesome! I signed up because I wanted to know how to handle my car better. It was all that and more. I catch myself trying out all the tricks of the trade that I learned. It is too bad they don't have a training course like that more than once a year. Ladies, I really encourage you to take advantage of this course if you can. Don't let the guys hog it all. I want to thank you guys for being such encouragers to me. I know I wasn't a speed demon out there but I did amp up my assertiveness behind the wheel. Actually I have now got "the bug" and want to zoom zoom a lot more. It was the best weekend I have had in a long time and have bored my co-workers to tears talking about how much fun it was! Thanks all.

Marty

Marty it was a blast having you at the fairgrounds last weekend. It was neat seeing you blossom into a 'go for it' driver by the end of Sundays runs. Chris and I were marshaling when you were driving and we could see your pace pick up on every run. We could hear your tires chirping all the way around our station.
There won't be another school until next year but there are several Solo2 events tentatively scheduled at the fairgrounds this year. As the dates firm up I'll post 'em here.

NASA this weekend at Thunderhill. I'll be there with the Mule running in the USTCC. Anyone planning on coming out? Still plenty of pit crew spots available. Free BBQ on saturday after the last group runs.

New Sponsor Mini Mania.

That looks awesome! Is there an upcoming schedule of events to review for those of us who're interested?

I'm not going this year because the second day is not an autocross. It's a drifting class instead which doesn't let you apply what you learned the day before on a real autocross course.

I was talking with my boss today about the ABF tour I went to Saturday, and he told me his club, Central California Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America, is having a track day at Buttonwillow on Friday, April 9 (he is one of the instructors for them). Right now they don't have enough people registered to run the event, so I thought I'd let everyone know about it.

Info at: http://www.cccbmwcca.org/BMW/Welcome.html.

If you go, you just might see me there!
