Ye Olde Outbacke

My Outback will be staying around awhile longer. I got the driver's seat reupholstered yesterday and it made all the difference. $80 + tax and I have a new car. No more backaches. It's fixed up just in time for MINI season! Why didn't I think of it this winter?

My grandpa had a wallet made of whale ***** leather. When you gave it a rub it turned into a suitcase.

I wasn't going to respond to this juvenile stuff, but....

HEY!!! Stop it boys. My genuine Subaru leather is still in place. Just the stuffing was re-stuffed and attached. Why do I even try to explain myself?

Who did the work? I'd like someone to look at my classic's seats and see if they can do a better job with the new leather(ette) covers than I did.

The weedhoppers started it. Typical.

Clintonville Auto Upholstery -- great. No phone number on the invoice. The address is 590D Oakland Park Ave -- It's back behind UDF/Wildflower Cafe. He just opened the shop but has been doing the work for 20 years. I'll try to get his phone # off his sign when I'm over there.

A phone number would be great.

There used to be a shop here in town that did wonderful work. They did the seats in my MG for less than the kits from Moss Motors would have cost. I lost track of them when they moved.

I know where the Wild Flower is, they do a great breakfast.

So you just drove down a back alley and there was a guy redoing car seats? Are you sure it was not a homeless person stuffing the seats with garbage? Sorry weedhoppers have to cause trouble.

Yep. He was standing by the street with a cardboard sign that said, "Will re-stuff flabby Outback seats." Had my name all over it. My neighbor is going to take his Triumph to him.... to get some umph back into his seats...

A weedhopper had to make this joke because the silverbacks would be trying to figure out how you give a wallet a little blue pill!

Frank: Nice beaver!
Jane: [producing a stuffed beaver] Thank you. I just had it stuffed.

Sorry, I'm a little slap happy from a long week of work.
