Need a 2007 turbo for template...

Can someone who has a 2007 coupe let me see how your bonnet scoop insert attaches? I made THIS over the weekend for my 2005 supercharger scoop, and people are already asking me about the 2007+. I'm not sure of the piece will drop in like the 2002-2006 ones do though...

If it's OK with you, maybe we can do it at the MINI breakfast in December, or I can meet you at your place some weekend. Thanks in advance!

I bet Paul or Aaron could help you out. It's probably a good idea to use metal on the turbo one. The plastic could melt.

I was wondering. I'm more concerned about the arrangement of attachments than making the template - the 02-06 one only works the way it does because the insert holds it in place. But the 2007 one is basically fake (it's solid IIRC) so it must attach in there somehow...

Having a real scoop that actually lets in some cool air has to be a good thing for that turbo motor.

I'd guess it's just a couple of screws holding it in there.

I put some pictures in my gallery of the underside of R56 scoop. It looks like the grill portion attaches with 2 screws and some minor interaction with the actual scoop housing.

Thanks to Chuck, I can show you what the new Nano would look like with the old Nano scoop!

Way to go John.

Now one question for you. Why didn't you just Photoshop Nano back right side up? That would have saved Matt a whole lot of work.
