'05 MCS S-lite wheels & tires for $300
I have four S-lite wheels, lugs, caps & tires for sale at $300 plus actual cost of shipping. Wheels are like new with no rash. The Dunlop run-flat tires have 13,600 miles on them. One tire must be replaced as it was sliced by a road hazard this week. Wear is even across the face of the tires as I watch a/p and rotate frequently. Free delivery if in Phoenix area.
Shiiping for around $100?

The cost of shipping these is definitely a concern to all who are interested... including me!
Let's at least come to terms with the expected weight. The wheels themselves are 25.1 lb each according to mini2.com's FAQ. The tires are 21.0 lb each. That means 46.1 lb per wheel/tire combo and 184.4 lbs total. Add in some extra weight for lugs, caps, packaging, and the weight of the air inside the wheels (hey, that adds weight... unless you completely deflate the tires first?), and 190-200 lbs seems like a fair estimate.
gjpundsack, how soon could you ship these? Could you have them shipped out by the weekend, or Monday, if someone was interested?
I am not committing to anything yet, I'm just trying to get perspective. Hopefully this info may help other prospective buyers too.
UPDATE: For what it's worth, the UPS "Calculate Time and Cost" feature on their website only lets you estimate up to 150lbs, after which it points you over to their freight section. I played around with it, using the 150lbs weight limit, and estimating the package dimensions at 26" X 26" X 34" (roughly the size of a box containing all four tires, stacked). It REQUIRES you to enter a street name, city, state & zipcode. Not knowing gjpundsack's exact location (other than Scottsdale, AZ), I guesttimated the origin to be Lafayette Blvd, Scottsdale AZ 85251 (according to Google Maps, Lafayette Blvd is one of the main streets in downtown Scottsdale).

well i had five wheels shipped w/no tyres and it came out to 100bux
so i would say to ship these since the tyres weigh jus as much should cost twice as much!!

Freight is high to the East Coast
Well, you guys are right about the high freight cost acorss the country. Guess I will have to find a local/west coast buyer. The freight from Scottsdale, AZ to Annandale, VA is about $250 UPS and $260 by conventional truck.
I just played with it a bit... if the wheels & tires are to be separated into two boxes, with two wheel/tire combos in each box, you can calculate the cost of shipping ONE of these boxes, then just double it.
With:
* $150 value (half the purchase price)
* 26" X 26" X 17" (half the height)
* 100 lbs (half the weight)
The shipping from Scottsdale AZ to Annandale VA, from a retail UPS store (with own packaging) is $90.03 per box.
So it would cost basically $180 if separated into two boxes. Still not cheap... but at least cheaper than using one box!
Anyway, it's obviously still not worth it for me on the East Coast. Oh well - thanks... I still hope the info I provided is useful to someone.

The last time I shipped tires and wheels I ended up using the post office instead of UPS, it was much cheaper. I used a piece of cardboard for the front and back of each wheel and then held them on with packing tape. Very easy to pack that way and I've never had anything damaged. I've probably shipped 5-6 sets of wheels/tires in the few years.
