I know. But I have had good luck getting stuff from people who have sold their MINI and kept the accessories for tightwads like me. I have read from a few sources that this is the best improvement you can make for the dough. But $150 for a shift **** - ouch!

I have one but it's mine all mine and you can't have it

Actually $150 is a lot but it is worth it. I just like the way it feels and next I'm putting the Alta short shifter under it.

Won't fit.
BMW and MINI ***** (whether stock, or mine), are not interchangeable.

Group buy or discount

Well Doug a group buy or discount would be great for the holidays. How about a brushed finish with the six speed pattern inside the mini wings.

I'm interested, too, if the price is right.

I still haven't seen one in person so it's hard for me to understand (or imagine) how a **** can make such a difference. Just ignorance at this point.

Hey, Doug, send one my way for a trial run?

Thanks for asking!

Yes, I've been planning on developing something for a long time.
In fact, I've tried getting some local CNC turning shops to whip me up a few prototypes, but no luck; so last summer I finally bit the bullet and purchased this 'poor man's" CNC lathe for my own shop.

Unfortunately, I've had it tied up making my shift **** parts, and a little bit of 'real' work (machining a few small batches of prototype parts for some local manufacturing corporations).

Being a one-man shop, the one thing that I typically find in short supply is time (but I guess that's a GOOD problem! .
Case in point; here I am right now, running the lathe, the CNC mill, checking e-mail, message boards, petting the cat, all at once.

Hopefully I'll have something soon.
I just bought a bar of aluminum for using on the prototypes (of course, the 'real' ones will be stainless).

Stay tuned!

He's avoiding the group buy/discount question.

Just had a sale last month, which I'm still recovering from.

I wish I would have known about the sale before now! Oh well, I am saving my pennies for one - the pennies that Julie doesn't know about anyway

****

My brother-in-law just made me a Stainless Steel shift **** that started off being a big hitch ball. I did purchase a whalen 3 weeks ago from a guy in Tennesee that had two he sold. I love the feel of the whalen as well as my custom made one that my brother-in-law made using a metal lathe. My brother's is heavier than the whalen. I will post pics of the machined hitch ball that became a pretty good ****.
