Has anyone added a 17 or 19% pulley to their JCW? Did you get much gain in power?

That is not a safe combo. 19% pulleys spin the supercharger too fast. I've seen cars that had the 19% pulley and need new engines and/or superchargers within 30k miles.

Check out the FAQ section at Webb Motorports regarding pulley size.

Sorry, that statement doesn't float. There are too many of us running 19% for too long without problems.

I suspect there is some other reason for engine failure. But, its not the 19% pulley, or the pulley alone that caused the failure.

I agree with BluMiniMe. There are many people running 19% without failure. Do you have any specific instances where people have had failure do to the 19% combination?

Why do people keep bagging on the 19%? Go ahead and run it. Keep an eye on the belt, but go ahead and run it. You'll love it.

Yes it's been done. Yes they get more power (>boost:>torque)
One reason for the JCW route is factory warranty and refined engineering package. If you change the pulley, you change the parameters, and risk your warranty. But if greater torque outweighs those issues, have at it!

04SpecS, do tell us some details on these reported failures!

Only problems I've seen with 19% might be belt slip, or belt failure.
