Is the JCW suspension now available for pre-July, 2004 builds. I hear it was released TODAY!

That's what was stated in the latest bulletin from MINIUSA

Available for all hardtops regardless of build date.

NOT available for any convertible.

Let's hope it doesn't take MINIUSA as long to release the JCW Strut Brace...

After some miscues about a month ago, my JCW suspension parts are at the dealership and I'm getting them installed Friday, July 8.

Cost?

How much is the parts kit and what comes with it?

Is there someplace one can read the specs on line for it?

Mine is on the way... expect to have the suspension installed after returning from the US MotoGP on 9 July.

You guys are all going to love it. It's awesome. And it doesn't make the ride too rough either (IMO).

Greta gets JCW suspension

Just up graded from SS+ to JCW suspension yesterday and I have not stopped smilling. Ride is firmer but not rough. My wife cannot even tell the differance. I have enclosed a link to my picture site that detail install progression.

As you can or cannot see in the following pic, stance is little changed from SS+.

Nice

You really think its "firmer"? I think it actually feels softer in that the bumps dont hurt my back so much anymore. More importantly, its far more flatter around the corners This is something you can actually feel and see.

Thanks for posting the link to your gallery! Great pictures. When they cut the notch in the rear wheel well, do they coat the exposed metal edges? If so, with what?

Tarzan, they coat the rough edge with Mini touchup paint. It supposedly has everything needed to keep corrosion at bay. I cetainly hope so because they use an awful lot of salt here in upstate NY.

Chows4us, when I say "firmer", I mean the car is less bounce over rough surfaces but the car is definately smoother over smoother roads (if I can find one here)

Looking through your photos I noticed three items of question.

1. While working on the rear set up the mechanic used a grinding tool to trim something back or cut something off, do you know what he was doing with this proceedure
2. It also appears there are several tools that were used that most "home shops" genreally do not have. So am I right in assuming installing the JCW suspension components are not something that can be done at home
3. In the last shots it appears they were doing a wheel alignment, is this correct

One last comment, why didn't you upgrade the rear sway bar while everything was off and easily accessable

Thanks for the essay it was great to see the install.

I can answer these two. See http://motoringfile.com/2005/04/07/o...pension_how-to
Installation instructions are there too.

As for the wheel alignment. Yes they have too, and they havent got mine right yet...
