Who has added a Catch Can to the B48 JCW?

It doesn't seem to be a popular mod for this motor or at least people aren't talking about it? Anyone? If you did, which one did you go for?

I have asked about catch cans a couple of times and no thinks they are needed. I disagree and think they would probably be a benefit, but I haven't figured out a good spot to mount one. Where do you plan on mounting it?

These newer engines have variable cam timing and valve lift control. As a result, they do not pull vacuum in the intake manifold, and a catch can won’t do anything, even if you manage to find a place to install one. PCV is all internal to the cam cover.

That doesn't make sense to me, because it was my understanding that every naturally aspirated car must have vacuum in the intake manifold. It's required to pull the air into the engine, and at higher RPMs it takes even more. And even though our cars are urbo charged, they run with vacuum in the intake while cruising and not "on boost".
I'm not saying this to argue. If I'm wrong about this I want to learn so I understand it better.

Yeah, with fixed intake valve lift, manifold will see vacuum. With variable intake lift, the intake valves will act more like a traditional throttle valve. As such, the manifold won’t see vacuum greater than ~1” negative. If you connect a traditional vacuum gauge to the manifold, you’ll effectively see zero vacuum.

It isn't obvious where to mount. I was going to see what the vendor recommended. To Nik's point, my turbo experience is mostly with 90s vintage Japanese turbos so maybe the newer factory tech is different..

The newer engines are much different. Seriously, there isn’t much benefit to adding a catch can, so save your monies.
